Disclaimer: If I owned House, would I really be giving away all my ideas in a FanFic? No, I would be turning them into episodes. I hope that answers your question.
A Sunny Disposition!
It was a sunny day and Foreman and Chase were off running hundreds of probably pointless tests on the current patient which explains how Cameron and House found themselves in a playground not to far from the hospital.
Well, almost. With the two male ducklings busy, that only left Cameron to search the patient's home and usual hangout spots. However, according to House that part of town was 'dangerous' and he didn't want his 'cutest' duckling there all on her own. Which (without her protests) lead him to accompany her on a visit to Amy's foster home.
Having searched the premises (their searches prevailing nothing) they had continued onto a near-by play park where their young charge claimed to have cut herself on some broken glass the week before.
Humming softly Cameron ran a swab along some glass that appeared to have blood on.
"What are you so happy about? And how did you get so tanned?" House asked.
"It's a nice day and it's sunny. I think a better question is why are you so sad and pale?"
House glared in response.
"I don't go outside much, therefore I don't tan."
Cameron considered this and grinned suddenly.
"And that is exactly why you are such a grump!"
Maybe she was suffering from sunstroke but for some reason she suddenly couldn't remember why she was usually so nervous around her boss.
"You never get any sun! Which means you lack vitamin E, which makes you happy! And if you don't go out much, you don't do much exercise. Exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy!"
Silently in her head she added "And happy people just don't kill their husbands!"
"And happy people just don't kill their husbands?" House questioned.
Cameron blushed, was he reading her thoughts?
"House is a jerk, House is a jerk, House is a jerk." She thought quickly.
"I always knew you were a 'Legally Blonde' girl, Dr. Cameron." Oh, he wasn't reading her thoughts. He'd seen the film too.
"So that's why you went to medical school I take it. Trying to show the hot rich guy you were clever enough for him? I bet you even have a tiny dog at home!"
Cameron giggled, she wasn't going to admit it, but her dog was called Chi-Chi. House chuckled, he'd guessed right.
An outsider may have seen this as an everyday occurrence, but to those involved, it was alien. Cameron acting uninhibited and House laughing. Maybe it was the weather (although Cameron hoped it was the company) that had put House in a good mood. She pulled a water bottle from her bag and opened the sports cap, with her eyes closed against the sun; she raised the bottle to her lips. Suddenly she was very, very wet.
"House!" She cried, he had squeezed the bottle as she drank.
He chuckled again, but seeing the fire in her eyes, began to back away. Too late. She ran after him, catching up easily and rugby-tackled him to the ground.
"Be nice to the cripple!" He choked, as he lay pinned to the ground by one of his ducklings. She poured the remainder of the water over his head and began to relax. She was lying on top of her boss, their faces getting nearer and nearer, their lips getting closer and closer. Just before they kissed, Cameron jumped up and frisked back across the park and sat down on a swing.
"Give me a push!" She called, "And you might pull!"
