Mai Taniyama watched as those… weird little bees tried to get through the barrier that Bou-san was holding up. "Only a little longer, Monk," she said to him, "Morning is only an hour away!"

"It better get here soon, I don't know how much longer I can keep it up."

"Here you go." Ayako handed him a cup of coffee. He muttered his thanks, taking a sip of the steaming, caffeinated drink.

'I hope Lin and Koyuki get back soon…' Mai thought. 'I can't believe what's happened!'

*****May 13*****

"Mai, Tea!"

"Yeah, yeah!" Mai walked into the little kitchenette in the office where she worked and started the tea her boss seemed addicted to. She smiled as she put her secret ingredient in it- powdered rose petals. Once the tea was done, she put it on a tray and walked into her boss's office.

"You should knock first." Said Kazuya Shibuya, dubbed 'Naru' for his narcissistic behavior.

"You knew I was coming. You're the one who asked for the tea." She had been waiting for a chance to say that. But she paled when he opened his mouth to reply.

Before he could say anything, however, the bell on the door rang, signaling someone's entrance. Mai ran out to greet the potential client and offer him some tea, grateful for the distraction.

"I would love some, thank you." He said in his gravelly voice. Naru came out of his office.

"Hello," said the man, "my name is Kazuma Magari, and I hear you get rid of… ghosts and things like that?"

Naru nodded as Lin came to sit and record what Magari had to say. "What would you like to report?"

Mai handed Magari a cup of tea, without her secret ingredient. "My house is haunted," he said after sipping it. "Several of my servants have disappeared, and their bodies have turned up later, swollen with bee stings. One of them turned up dead, not a sratch on the body, nothing to suggest anything was wrong. We had run some tests, there was an undetectable poison in all the bodies. I'm very scared for my daughter, Hikari." A white-haired girl entered the room.

"Daddy, when can we go home?" She asked.

"Soon, dear, I just have to talk to them about the house." He picked her up and put her in his lap. "Will you help?"

Naru thought a minute. "Leave your contact information with Ms. Taniyama, and we'll contact you once a decision is reached."

"Thank you, kindly."

He left his phone number and address with Mai, then he and Hikari left. "What do you think?" Mai asked.

"Let's call everyone and discuss this."

"Right, I'll go call them now!"

*****Later that day*****

Houshou Takigawa, Ayako Matsuzaki, John Brown, and Masako Hara were seated in the office, learning about the new case.

"Sounds dangerous." Said John, a young Australian priest.

"What do you think of this case? Do you want to take it?" Naru asked.

"I think we should take it," Toushou said. "That Magari person had a little girl, right? She must be scared out of her mind."

"Dos everyone agree?" They all nodded. "Mai, call Mr. Magari and tell him we will take the case, and that we need at least three rooms."

"Yes, sir!"
