A Mad Valentines Day
Alice was reading a book sitting in her favorite chair then a loud knock at the door interrupted her reading. She sighed as she walked to the door thinking of who it possibly was. Once she opened the door a man with an oversized hat and a goofy grin stared back at her with his hands behind his back.
"Happy Valentines day cricket!" he smiled.
"Hello Reginald" she sighed.
"What? No happy Valentines day?" he pouted.
"Err happy…Valentines day" she said then suddenly a big bouquet of flowers were in her face.
"Don't worry dear these flowers wont insult you" he smiled.
"Whatever are you doing?" Alice asked confused.
"Celebrating Valentines day with you, these are for you silly" he laughed holding out the flowers.
"I'm sorry but I can not except" Alice refused.
"Aw C'mon cricket!" he pouted.
"Ugh fine but nothing more" she sighed taking the flowers.
Then he held out a heart shaped box with a card attached.
"Reginald! I said nothing more!" she yelled.
"But cricket this goes with it!" he said with a sneaky smile.
"Very well" she sighed taking the gift.
"Now my dear Alice" he smirked leaning up against the door frame "how about a Valentines day kiss?" he smiled.
Alice blushed a deep red.
"Certainly not!" she yelled.
"But crumpet….sugar cube" he pouted.
"I said no this is my last word on the subject now go away!" she yelled slamming the door in his face cutting off their conversation.
"You'll come around tea cup!" he shouted.
Alice sighed and set down the flowers Alice looked at the box curiously and opened the card and it read
"Alice my lovely little cricket I love you more than tea and my hat it self so I give you my heart and my tea, will you please be mine?"
Alice blushed and opened the heart shaped box which was filled with tea her favorite tea. In fact this was exceptionally sweet well coming from him. No I mustn't think of him in such a manner she thought nervously setting the box aside and sat down and continued to read her book. One she started reading she started to think is he still out there? Did he really mean what he said? She nervously thought these things then she finally threw her book aside and ran to the front door. She hesitated once she got to the door but she forced herself to open it. She looked around franticly for the mad man until she found him sitting on her porch swing smiling up at her.
"Why hello cricket, fancy meeting you here" he smirked.
"I live here you mercury addled fool!" Alice blushed crossing her arms.
Reginald completely ignored her rude comment and smiled oh how adorable she is when she is angry he thought.
"So will you be my Valentine cricket?" he asked with a hopeful look on his face.
Alice looked at the mad man on her porch and sighed.
"I suppose" she blushed.
"Great! This will be a wonderful Valentines day because I have my two favorite things! Tea and my Alice!" he cheered stepping inside.
His favorite thing is me? She thought nervously shutting the door behind her.
"Err…Reginald?" she called nervously.
He turned around with one of his signature goofy grin on his face.
"Yes cricket?"
"Thank you" she blushed looking over to the flowers and the tea.
"Your welcome dear I'm glad you're my Valentine" he smiled hugging her which took her by surprise but she hugged him back.
Then Alice did the unthinkable she stood up on her tippy toes and lightly kissed him on the lips. He turned bright red to pink with his goofy grin still on his face.
"Perhaps we should celebrate Valentines day every day" he blushed straightening his hat nervously.
"Yes perhaps we should" Alice blushed as he laced his fingers between hers.
"Best Valentines day ever" he whispered to himself with a victorious arm pump when she wasn't looking.
