Note: I play a Sam that got turned during season one's "Dead Man's Blood" in an RP which inspired this series of fics. This is set after season two's "In My Time of Dying".
It'd been one week since John Winchester passed away, leaving his two sons all alone on the hunt to find the demon that killed their mother and Sam's girlfriend. That hadn't even been the worst part lately for the younger brother.
Sam was having issues with his little problem since they'd gotten to Bobby's. Sleep wasn't coming easy and then he'd sit up at night, listening to the heartbeats of Bobby and Dean. It took everything in him to not do something stupid to either of them. And it wasn't like Dean could off a bit of his blood since Bobby didn't fully know about what had happened to Sam.
He shifted on the lumpy couch, turning to face the back of the couch. The steady thumping sound of Dean's pulse could easily be heard in the silent house. Extending an arm to punch his brother for being human almost seemed like a good idea, but he didn't want to wake him. He'd been noticing Dean's heartbeat jumping around erratically lately when he slept – nightmares, he assumed.
Not sure with how much more he could take, Sam carefully and quietly got up. He crept over to the back door, pulling on his sneakers as he walked. All the vampire planned on doing was getting a quick breath of air to clear his head.
But he never returned. Instead, he decided to leave because he thought it was for the best.
There was no note, no trace of him leaving in the morning, nothing. Sam Winchester was long gone…
