Nothing Left To Say Now

I OWN NOTHING!

Dashan

Give up. Rarely do I ever use theses words, but now they are monsters.

The machine beeps next to me. I look down at him and just wonder how it could have happened. No one was expecting it…and yet it did.

"Come on, Mei-Mei." Chi-Yun's voice rang out. She ran over to him and they two went over to a private section of the temple. Chao Xin and I were waiting there at the stadium as the two ran in. They took their places and prepared their beys.

"Losers do dinner dishes for a week." Chao Xin bet.

"Okay, prepare to get your hands dirty cause I'm gonna win these thing." Mei-Mei smiled. Playfully threats were exchanged between all of us.

"Alright…let's practice." I say in a booming voice.

"THREE!"

"TWO!"

"ONE!"

"LET IT RIP!" The four beys launched and began circling the arena. Moves were called and fun was had…until it happened.

"CHI-YUN! LOOK OUT!" Mei-Mei cried out. She pointed up and it all happened so fast. Part of the roof collapsed…a small scream…rubble everywhere…a small purple hat crumpled with a small hand reaching out…

"CHI-YUN!" We all shouted. We raced over and moved the debris and saw a horrible sight.

Chi-Yun was rushed to the hospital. The doctors did all they could. It wasn't enough.

"What do you wanna do?" Chao Xin asks. I study Chi-Yun's little face a little longer. He's been my friend since I was a kid. I can't imagine life without him.

"Dashan?" Mei-Mei prompts. Tears choke my voice and I struggle to keep them in.

"We've all said our…?" I start and stop and they nod. Teardrops start flowing down Mei-Mei's face and Chao Xin's barely keeping it in.

"Wait!" Chao Xin stops me. He comes a little closer and place Lacerta in Chi-Yun's hand and moves the hand onto his chest.

"Chao Xin…" Mei-Mei cries softly. He meets my eyes as tears well up.

"This way…" His voice breaks. "He can still have his bey." He hangs his head and I look over at Chi-Yun's face once more. Pain faintly appears and I remember what the doctor said.

"Good-bye Chi-Yun, you will be missed." I get out.

"WE LOVE YOU!" Mei-Mei runs over and lays her head on his chest. I reach over and flip the switch.

His chest stops moving and his face clears of all expression. Mei-Mei sobs loudly and Chao Xin and I try to comfort her.

"We'll never forget you." Chao Xin says as he touches Chi-Yun's cold forehead.

"You were an amazing blader." I stutter through tears.

"The world will be a different place without you." Mei-Mei sobs. She turns and hugs me. Nothing more is said….there's nothing left to say now…he's not here to hear it…

Thanks for reading. I was listening to a song called Nothing Left to Say Now by a band named Imagine Dragons when I was writing this. Wang Hu Zhong were the first characters to come to mind. I don't know why though…I love them so that might be why. Anyway, I started writing this and decided to try a character death…I normally don't do that… Chi-Yun was picked at random…I have nothing against him. To be honest it was going to be him or Mei-Mei…

So tell me what you thought…I was almost in tears writing this… So anyway, thanks for reading and I hope you liked it…or whatever. TTYL!
