Another Mirai Nikki one-shot! I feel awfully special. I'm apparently the only person who does Mirai Nikki oneshots. And only the second person to write Mirai Nikki fanfiction period, I guess, unless some has been hiding in the miscellaneous category. The fandom needs more writers. *gives a dramatic sigh of loss*
This occurs... some time when Yuki is going to school with Hinata and Mao-chan and Akise, I guess.
Disclaimer: Mirai Nikki/Future Diary is the property of Esuno Sakae. So are its side stories, Mosaic and Paradox. I own nothing.

"Yukiteru-kun!"
Yuki turned around to see Akise waving to him from the school's front doors.
"Akise! What's up?" asked Yuki cheerfully after waiting for him to catch up.
Akise grinned broadly. "Well, I just thought you might like to know, I now have my own 'Future Diary', in a manner of speaking."
"Eh?" Yuki looked positively panicked. "Don't tell me Deus is giving out more of them?! This is hard enough to deal with already without..." he trailed off. Akise was shaking his head, still smiling.
"I didn't get it from Deus."
"What?"
"I said, I didn't get it from Deus."
"Then where did you get it from?"
"Oh, I just ordered it off the Interenet," Akise replied serenely without missing a beat.
Yuki just stared at him, a look of confused disbelief frozen on his face. It was kind of cute, actually.
"But- Wait, then what does it do?" asked Yuki after a few failed attempts at stringing words together.
"You mean, what does it predict? A lot of things," said Akise thoughtfully. "Time and place, other people's actions-"
"So- sort of like my diary?"
"I wasn't finished. It also predicts some of my actions, events happening around me, events not happening around me, revelations, epiphanies, sometimes other people's diary entries, occasionally their thoughts-"
"You're just messing with me now..."
"Nope! And I can prove it, too. I've got it with me." He swung his backpack forward from where it was slung over one shoulder and started searching through the biggest compartment. After a minute, he found what he was looking for.
"Here it is! You're welcome to take a look at it, if you'd like," he said brightly. He handed Yuki a small book.
Yuki stared at the book in his hands.
Yuki stared at Akise.
"I'm not sure what rule this is breaking," Yuki said, looking vaguely annoyed. "But this has got to be cheating."
Akise just smiled, tried not to laugh, and took back his copy of Mirai Nikki, Volume One.
I love Akise, don't you love Akise? xD
Hope you enjoyed the demolition of the Fourth Wall! Please review!
