Robin gazed with childlike wonder at the scene before her. The trees were covered with ice that twinkled in the moonlight like glittering prisms while the pristine snow showed no sign of anyone passing through before them.
"Isn't it beautiful, Amon?" she breathed. She seemed entranced as she watched her breath mist into a small white cloud and drift away.
"Sure," her guardian muttered, obviously non-plussed.
"Don't you like the snow?" The young witch glanced quickly at her dark companion who seemed to be brooding over something.
"Not particularly. It's cold."
With a small shrug, she continued on. "Just like you..." Stopping abruptly the young blond covered her mouth quickly, her cheeks blazing from embarrassment. She hadn't meant to speak out loud.
Amon glanced at the girl, a wry, amused smirk tugging at his lips as he pretended not to notice the comment or her reaction.
