~TWEWY and all of its beautiful characters don't belong to me.~
He had planned everything. Set all of the dominoes in motion with a single flick of a finger, to lead to this: him and his proxy having their last showdown, with each staring down the barrel of a gun.
Joshua would be lying if he said that it was not exciting.
Seven.
Neku was crying. Joshua was slightly taken aback- he had never seen his proxy cry before- but he continued to count down, his voice cold and devoid of emotion.
Six.
Joshua felt his smirk stretch even further as Neku steadied his shaking hands so that the gun was pointing directly at the Composer's chest.
Five.
'Shoot me, now. It'll all be over then,' he imprinted as he counted down another number.
Four.
'Pull the trigger. Save your friends. Save Shibuya.'
Three.
Neku's arms began to waver.
Two.
The Composer sent one last imprint.
One.
'Kill me.'
Zero.
Without hesitation, Joshua pulled the trigger and the bullet easily tore through Neku's body. As the proxy fell, Joshua caught a glimpse of the boy's tear-streaked face.
He was smiling.
Gaaahhh this is really bad and drabble-y but I hope you liked it! By the end of the showdown, I think Neku was resigned to what was going to happen and just accepted it.
