AN: I keep starting stories, so I decided that this will be the last one for a while, until I have finished at least four or five of my...thirteen stories?

This is a three part series, as in, three different fictions BTW, but if you want more, I could write more later.

Anywho, don't own Batman, DC does, I just like to tinker with the characters.

A Song-Bird's Cry

Prologue

Dead. I have stole, killed, abused, vandalise property and the public, but, worst of all, I lied to those I care about.

Bruce, Alfred...my Dickie-Bird. How I have loved you in the silence, hoping you would love me no matter what I did.

The wind on the bridge that climbs over the river picks up. I swallow. My only blood, gone.

"Why?" I shout. "Why them? Why leave me to this fate?"

"Why did you do the things that led to this fate?" I nearly burst into tears when I hear Dic-NO! Robin's voice.

"I saved you, now leave me be." I nearly whine. "I want to mourn alone."

"Not until you tell us why." He stresses out. "We TRUSTED you."

I turn furiously to look at the two heroes. "And I trusted YOU!" I try my breathing. "Tell me, Robin, if I asked you to do something that benefited the city, would you do it?" I ask.

"Of course." Was his immediate answer.

"Really?" I ask in a childlike manner. He nods. "Well then..." I fake a deep breath before telling him my wish.

"Kill me, my singing Dickie-Bird, kill me now."
