Hi guys, as promised here's the next story in my series. As previously mentioned in my last story, Jenny's mother, Sarah, comes to visit, along with Jackson Gibbs. Will sparks fly? Well read on and find out LOL.

'I still say we should tell her.' Penny said with frustration to Jenny.

Ever since their mother Sarah had informed them that she was coming to DC to visit, Penny had been arguing with Jenny as to whether or not they informed her that Penny finally knew the truth. Penny was fed up of living a lie and since she found out the truth about her parentage, she wanted her mother to also know. She hoped that once it was out in the open then their lives could resume some level of normality.

Jenny on the other hand wasn't so sure. Although she wanted all the lying to end as much as Penny did, she didn't want to open that can of worms with her mother. Ever since she'd given birth to Penny and was forced to give her to her parents to raise, her relationship with her mother had been strained to say the least. It had only been within the last couple of years that she had begun to feel closer to her mother again and she didn't want her latest revelation to destroy that.

'Penny we'll discuss this later.' Jenny replied in her no nonsense tone, just as Gibbs arrived at the doorway to their bedroom.

Penny sighed loudly and stormed out of the room passed Gibbs, leaving him looking on in confusion at his wife, who also looked exasperated.

'What was all that about?' He asked with concern.

'She's still insistent that we tell mom that she knows the truth. I do get where she's coming from, I really do; it's not easy for me to lie to her to pretend that I'm still lying to Penny. But if I tell mom the truth it could set my relationship with her back years, then again if I don't tell her it could upset my relationship with Penny.' She replied, placing her head in her hands.

Gibbs walked behind her and placed his arms around her waist, running his hand over her small, yet ever growing, bump.

'It'll be alright. I think Penny understands, she's just feeling a little frustrated by the situation.' He whispered comfortingly.

'Well that's part of the problem Jethro; Penny hates deceit, especially from those she loves and trusts.'

'Do you want me to talk to her?'

'No, I'll do it. You need to go to the airport and collect mom and your dad.' She encouraged.

Gibbs nodded, kissed her lovingly and headed for the door. Jenny watched out of the bedroom window as he entered the street below and drove off in his car to the airport. Inside she could already tell it was going to be a long hard week.

After a few moments of silence Penny appeared sheepishly at the doorway. She hated arguing with Jenny, always had done, so she always tried to clear the air as soon as possible.

'If you really don't want to tell mom then I respect your wishes.' She said.

Jenny smiled at her daughter and nodded her head slightly. She still didn't know what to do for the best, but she hoped the answer would come soon. She ran her hand over her protruding stomach, making Penny smile.

It felt strange seeing Jenny pregnant, as Penny had only ever seen her as slim and always in business dress or figure hugging outfits; now her clothes were beginning to hug round her bump, getting to the stage where she was having to think about wearing maternity clothes. It was the next step in her pregnancy that she couldn't wait for.

Penny sat down on the edge of the bed with her mom standing in front of her. She placed her hand over her stomach, feeling slightly disheartened that she still couldn't feel the baby kick. On seeing the look on her daughter's face Jenny gave a small smile.

'Patience Penny, it'll be another couple of weeks before you'll be able to feel Flump move.' She explained.

In recent weeks she'd found herself calling her unborn baby by the nickname Penny had coined for it. Penny hated the idea of referring to the baby as "it", but had somehow decided that Flump sounded much better. Even the team had taken to calling the baby Flump.

'Aw that's just mean; you know I've never felt a baby kick? Every time I've gone near anyone pregnant their baby stops moving. But you're going to be nice to your big sister aren't you Flump?' Penny replied, aiming the latter half of her statement directly at Jenny's stomach.

Penny's statement made her mom laugh; she hugged her daughter tightly before making a move downstairs, ushering Penny as she went.

Although she'd cleaned and straightened everything in the house several times, she still wanted to ensure everything was perfect. She didn't want to give her mother any excuse to complain. It was one of the things that annoyed her most about her mother, her constant need to criticise everything about her. She'd always felt that her mother had been a lot harder on her after Penny was born, feeling that she was always trying to make a point. However, things had finally changed when she'd become director of NCIS, almost as if she'd finally made a mends for the events when she was seventeen.

It took Gibbs just over an hour to get to the airport, pick-up both his father and mother-in-law and return home. He could tell that Jenny had been neurotically cleaning again by the smell of fresh polish though-out the house.

'Jenny? We're home!' He shouted as he entered the hallway.

'I'll be down in a minute!' She shouted back from upstairs.

Gibbs made sure they were both comfortable in the living room before he went to find his wife, with no sign of his step-daughter; he just preyed that they hadn't had a massive row or falling out whilst he was gone. However, just as he was about to mount the stairs Jenny appeared at the top and began to walk down.

'What were you up to? Where's Penny?' He asked her, his face creased with concern.

'Penny and I were just blowing up the airbed in her living room, saves time later on.' She replied.

'Correction, I was blowing up the bed whilst Jen oversaw my work like a good Madam Director.' Penny explained as she joined them on the stairs.

She smiled at her mother's look of annoyance. She knew how much she hated being referred to as "madam", which is the exact reason Penny had said it.

At the sound of her daughters' voices Sarah Shepard joined them all in the hallway, closely followed by Jackson. It had been the first time he'd ever met his new daughter-in-law, although he previously met Penny after a case they'd worked on led them to Stillwater.

'Well are you just going to stand there yacking son, or are you going to introduce me to this new wife of yours?' He asked.

Gibbs led Jenny the rest of the way down the stairs and stood her proudly in front of his father.

'Dad this is Jenny; Jenny, my father Jackson.' He introduced and watched as she warmly embraced the older man.

Penny then trotted down the stairs behind them and wrapped Sarah in a tight hug and then did the same to Jackson, taking him slightly by surprise.

Once all the greetings and introductions were out of the way, Penny helped Gibbs take their guests' suitcases up to their bedrooms. Sarah was going to have Penny's room and en-suit bathroom and Jackson was going to be in the spare room. Penny was on the airbed in her upstairs living room, which suited her fine.

They all went into the living room as Penny went into the kitchen to make everyone a hot drink before they all began to get ready for their meal out that night; as a celebration of Jenny and Gibbs's marriage and their pregnancy. McGee was also joining them along with his mother and father, as sort of meet the parents if you like.
