Okay guys, I'm not dead! Good news right? Okay, so... well, today I was going to post this idea I got, then me and I am Kayla daughter of Apollo were role-playing when she said, and I'm quoting here:
I would rather let it rot my brain, but you you must know...
*says quickly* ... *normally* and then you can refer to our rather short WYR game, more specifically what you asked me, for the rest *pales and stares blankly into space*
Don't ask what happens when we play Would You Rather, we tend to get particually extravagent, just like in truth or dare. We're mentally awesome, deal with it. So, here, expect something later.
I do not own Percy Jackson or any of the characters. I do however now own bubble wrap!
Thalia's Point of View:
The hunters and Romans were visiting Camp Half-Blood, we were sat around the firepit having Sing-Along, I smiled at where my brother sat, one arm around Reyna's shoulders(she was wearing his sweater I noted), the other holding his stick, where he was roasting marshmallows, overall it had been a good day, the hunters had recruited a camper, Kayla, daughter of Apollo, she wore her hunter's uniform with happy pride as she sat next to me. We sung cheesy old campfire songs and some of the ones Camp Half-Blood was famous for, a few songs got taught to us by the kids in Camp Jupiter and everything was great. It was getting into the evening and the stars were out, I smiled as Chiron explained Zoe's constallation to the Romans who were interested in the story they'd never heard before. But it was when that slimeball I'd heard about from Jason, Octavian, the augar of Camp Jupiter took a seat in between Pheobe and Kayla I felt like snarling.
"This bench is for the hunters. Octavian." I sneered. "No males allowed." I added, I saw Jason and Reyna become alert when they realised where he was.
"Was I talking to you Miss Grace." Octavian spat back, I stiffened, I hated using that name.
"Don't call me Grace." I warned lowly.
"Thalia, calm down." Kayla told me carefully, I attempted a smile at the new huntress. "He probably wants tips from a better prophet." Kayla added, I smirked as many heard her and snickered, this huntress had promise.
"Sure Night Light." Kayla and I had spent the better part of the day thinking of nicknames for each other, her favourite was Night Light and mine was Shockaholic. I watched carefully as Octavian leaned in and whispered in Kayla's ear, but what he doesn't know is Lady Artemis's hearing is very good being the goddess of the hunt, and this is passed to us when we join, so what Octavian didn't know is every huntress on the bench heard what he whispered to poor Kayla.
"Beware new huntress, enjoy your time while it lasts, one day soon you're going to fall in love with the god you call Hermes and you'll have to tell your father you're having the god's child." Octavian growled lowly in Kayla's ear, her eyes turned bigger than lemons and tears welled up in her eyes as she began shaking with fright.
"That won't happen!" Evangaline shrieked defensively as she stood up, Octavian looked around frightfully at the huntresses glaring at him.
"Kayla, are you alright?" Pheobe asked before she shoved Octavian off the bench and into the dirt. Everyone's attention was on us now and frankly I didn't care.
"Jason. Hold him still." I ordered in a low tone, somehow, in the silence surrounding us, Jason heard my order and quickly grabbed Octavian as he made to escape. I reached under the bench and pulled out the beech wood stick I sometimes carried with me, it was a walking stick for when we went for hikes, and I brought it with me to poke Percy with during the campfire.
"What are you going to do to me?" Octavian screamed in a high-pitched voice. I raised my stick above my head like a septar.
"I am awesomer than thou and I have a giant stick to be thee with." I said mightily, might as well remind the guy who my father is before beating the fear of Thalia into him. I then slammed my stick into his head effectively dazing him while I smacked several blows into other parts. A few of the hunters joined in while Pheobe comforted Kayla.
"Thals, shouldn't we let Kayla have a shot?" Evangaline asked after she shot eighteen arrows up Octavian's legs. I turned to look at Kayla, who looked back at me fearfully, then she nodded and stood up semi-steadily, she took a cautious step forward before breaking into a sprint and running to my side, then she didn't stop, she used her momentum and slammed her right foot into Octavian's most treasured place, the scream he emmitted broke the sound barrier, I am sure of it. Or at least broke Opera.
"Ooh." Jason winced as he dropped Octavian like a bag of potatoes. "I'm glad that wasn't me." Jason said, I shook my head as Reyna walked up from behind him.
"It can easily be on you on the ground as well if you wish?" Reyna teased, Jason made a face at her and they shared a smile before returning to the professional masks as they turned to Kayla. "Might I inquire what he said so I may apologise on behalf of Rome for his uncouth behaviour." Reyna said, Kayla seemed to shrink, and I was betting on her running to the emo corner in the cabin for the huntresses who had lost a sibling.
"Would you like us to tell them Kayla?" Pheobe offered, Kayla looked around and pointed a shaking finger at Amanda, daughter of Hecate.
"He said she's going fall in love with Hermes soon and have his child." Amanda said as fast she could to lessen the pain. Reyna and Jason shared a look, which confused me, because it seemed so easy for them to communicate wordlessly. Then Reyna let out a scream of dark fury before she swung around and repeated to Octavian what Kayla did, her scream had nothing on his scream of pain.
"We apologise on behalf of Rome for our augar, he hasn't been right in the head since... well, he's never been right in the head." Jason said calmly, Kayla nodded.
"I forgive Rome, but I won't forgive him." Kayla said firmly, it seemed she was gaining back her fire already. Again, this huntress had so much potential.
"Understood. Again, we're sorry." Jason said before grabbing Reyna's hand to calm her down before she could kick Octavian again. The campfire resumed again but before I sat down I gave Octavian a none-too-gentle kick to the ribs, he barely moved or groaned, so I assumed he'd passed out. Good. I sat back down next to Kayla and silently supported her, she was not going to end up with Hermes, he would never settle down. No other thoughts like that crossed my mind for the rest of the night as I enjoyed the campfire.
Okay, this wasn't as violent as I would have liked, you see, my younger sister's boyfriend broke up with her a few weeks ago(Don't ask me, I don't care about it) and on Saterday she confessed that he'd gotten with another girl and then ended things with her and now he's asking her out again, I decided to send him to the hospital with a breathing tube. When I get around to it. So, I took some of my anger out on Octavian. No regrets.
If you'll excuse me now, bubble wrap!
Thalia.
