Progress Report No. 84
TO: Regenald D. Parker, Lighthalzen Somatology Laboratory: Supervisor Branch
FROM: Julian S. Belfourd, Lighthalzen Somatology Laboratory: Research Branch
Thirteen years of research have finally yielded success – much to our dismay. This will be the final report on the "Ovis Project." Replication of the subjects has worked better than we could have ever imagined. Not only are they able to be replicated, but also they grow and develop at a rapid pace. Also, the Host Body's cells have mutated, and seemingly enhanced their regular abilities far beyond what we deemed fathomable, making their Replicas just as impressive. However, the Replicas' bodily cells appear to maintain a stable system, and do not risk further mutation – the Hosts however…
Though there is no celebration. As I write this, the lab is being sealed and quarantined. Our experiments have harvested what could very well be a Super-Human… As such, these Super-Humans find us regular humans to be… Inferior. Before we could break them to our will, they revolted. They are out of control, acting upon inhuman impulses to destroy… Or… Are those impulses really that far from Human? Either way, we're locking those damn things up and the poison that created them. Further experiments will not be underway, for the safety of my fellow Researchers, and possibly for humanity itself. The Labs will be closed indefinitely, until the threat is gone… Though with the nutrition supplements within the labs… Who knows how long it could be before those blasted creatures die out?
I have escaped the terrors in that Lab… However I am not entirely free. The accident last year still lingers within me… I can't go home like this.
As one of the head Researchers of this experiment, I strongly advise leaving the Laboratory closed indefinitely. If you have even one shred of decency left within you, you'll take that into consideration.
Signed,
Julian S. Belfourd
