"You must be Samuel's family. Don't worry, he will live." The women said reassuring the three bodies standing near the boy's bedside. "For now he just needs some rest." She walked away leaving the family behind.

"You shot him through his leg!" Elizabeth said shocked and horrified seeing her sons poor state.

"Now dear," Henry said trying to calm his wife. "If this sweet girl hadn't skewered are son like a piece of meat he would be dead right now."

Speaking of meat! Sasha thought with a wide smile. Then came to the sudden realization. Oh no! The meat had been blown off all wall too. She grabbed her head in frustration. I was looking forward to sandwiches!

"Henry! That joke is in very poor taste." His mother snapped.

" ." The father snickered.

"Your name is Sasha, right?" Elizabeth asked. "Does your head hurt?"

"No." Sasha said standing up straight and putting her arms to her side. "I was just wondering if I could have done something different." Her stomach growl. Like what if I had saved the meat instead?

Samuel could feel a throbbing pain in his leg. He opened his eyes and the light nearly blinded him. He saw the back of familiar young lady. "Sasha?"

"Samuel." She said surprised spinning around to face him. "You're awake."

Now he was hit with a new feeling. His cheeks flushed as he stared at her, head tilted with a wide smile. Crumbs stuck to the corners of her mouth. One of his mother's homemade cookies clutched in her hand. She's an angel. He thought as he smiled back at her.
