Oh you're twisted!

"Inara, I'm not so sure about this."

"I know, but maybe it will be fun."

"If this was Wash's idea, we'll be lucky to survive."

"Yes, though it should be interesting in the meantime. Besides Simon said…"

"Don't remind me. I'm still considering throwing him off the ship." Stopping at the cargo entrance Mal looked panicked.

"Did you hear that?"

"Come on. It's too late to back out now."

Six hours later Jayne limped into the medical bay.

"What happened?!" Demanded Simon.

"I…uh….got a bit tangled." Gruffed Jayne. "Just give me an ice pack."

An hour later Wash entered the medical bay.

"What's the matter with you?" Questioned Simon.

"I think I did something to my back." Responded Wash.

Rolling his eyes Simon gave Wash an ice pack.

Half an hour later, Simon could stand it no longer and headed for the cargo bay. He'd told the crew they needed to relax some. Play a game, maybe even talk, not have a knock down drag out…. or whatever. His thoughts halted as he did at the sight in front of him. There were four people tangled together in seemingly impossible positions, on colored dots on the floor. Jayne and Kaylee sat off to the side while River spun a dial. "Right hand blue, Mal," she called out.

"Right hand blue." Mal muttered as he figured out just how he'd manage that. The only blue circle in reach was in a very difficult spot.

"No offence Sir..." called Zoe, "but hurry up!"

"Okay, okay." Groaned Mal as he placed his hand on the blue dot, accidently brushing the inside of Inara's thigh.

"Hey watch the hands!" Laughed Inara.

"Left foot yellow, Inara…." Called River.

"Now just how in the …" Murmured Inara as she eyed her choices. Slowly lifting her foot, she narrowly missed kicking Wash in the head. Twisting her hips to the right she crossed her legs to place a toe on the yellow dot shadowed by Mal's form. His hand on the blue circle was trapped.

"Interesting technique Inara, "called Simon.

Startled everyone on the colored dot's collapsed in a heap. They all groaned as they untangled themselves. Inara laying at the bottom of the pile, her eyes squeezed shut.

"You okay?"

Blowing some hair from her eyes, Inara glared, "If I could, I'd kill him."

"You'll have to stand in line. Looks like Zoe's first."

Scrambling to her feet Inara gave a growl, "Nu'uh, I get first strike."

"Wait!" Called Simon "I was just taken aback by your choice of recreation."

Suddenly Inara smiled "Let him go Zoe…"

"But…" began Zoe, but Inara's look left no room for argument, "Fine."

"Would someone at least tell me what this is?" questioned Simon.

"I could demonstrate..." piped Kaylee

Everyone watched in hysterics at the spectacle in front of them. The clumsy doctor and the agile engineer playing an intense game of Twister.

Leaning over Mal whispered in Inara's ear, "maybe a different game elsewhere… 'spin the bottle', 'hide and seek'?"

Nodding Inara allowed Mal to pull her away.

Frowning Wash looked around "Where's Mal and Inara?"

"Got me…all I heard was something about spinning a bottle, whatever that means." Replied Zoe.

"All depends on how you play." Chuckled Wash.
