A/N Songfic time again! I would advise to listen to this beautiful song :) please r&r! Am, as always, open to CC :D PN: I put the Beirut babbling in italics and the Hollyness is in normal.
Disclaimer: if I could write songs like Beirut or books like J.K Rowling, I would have probably be the most famous person in the world ;) enjoy!
He walked outside to the ancient willow tree, whose leaves were dripping with crystal rain drops.
And there she was.
Dancing and laughing with no care in the world, he walked over to her and pulled her into a slow waltz, her bare feet lightly treading on the grassy floor, she threw her pale, blonde hair back and looked into his eyes with wide, bright blue ones. She started to hum a beautiful melody that they had made up together a few weeks before.
He had never been happier.
The times we had
Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow
We're not all bad
We put our feet just where they had, had to go
Never to go
He trapped her hand in his and they trickled towards the small stream that ran perfectly by the willow. She looked disappointed that their dance ended so soon, but her face lit up when he transfigured a normal pebble into a shining gold stone.
The shattered soul
Following close but nearly twice as slow
In my good times
There were always golden rocks to throw
At those who admit defeat too late
Those were our times, those were our times
He dreamed as she dipped her dainty feet into the diamond waters, he dreamed that one day he would make her happy. One day, he thought, he would make her his.
And I will love to see that day
That day is mine
When she will marry me outside with the willow trees
And play the songs we made
They made me so
And I would love to see that day
Her day was mine.
She turned to him and she smiled dreamily, she went and sat next to him. They sat there, with the willow tree and the little stream, and watched the sun hang lower and lower into the sky. The ring box in his pocket was suddenly feeling lighter and they never wanted that euphoric, beautiful moment to end.
A/N mark 2: please r&r!
