DISCLAIMER: I own nothing of the Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus series, it's all Rick Riordan's.
The love I have for Nico di Angelo knows no bounds.
SHADOWLANDS
Slipping in and out of the shadowlands
Silently, endlessly
You can never be sure if he was there
Or if you dreamt it all up
A fragment of a fantasy.
'To the angels' his name, di Angelo, means.
And you can believe he is an angel,
an avenging angel,
a fallen angel.
Too late to turn back now.
Too late to go back to being the little boy
the carefree boy whose biggest worry
was losing his card game.
He thought he'd be that way forever
But that's the funny thing, you see,
forever seemed to be over faster than one might think
and he was all alone before he could say 'Bianca'.
Mysterious and dark, he is
He looks so young yet so old
Someone that age shouldn't look
So troubled, so pained
An outcast everywhere.
Welcomed by none and shunned by all
Why? That's the mystery.
He hates himself, you can tell.
The self-loathing in his eyes
Those eyes, colder than the dark side of the moon itself
He was once loved by someone, you can tell.
But not anymore, no.
And he once loved someone, you can tell.
But not anymore.
King of ghosts, you can never be sure with this one.
You can never be sure
What he'll do next
Will he save the day
or will he join the enemy?
Is he the saviour or is he the enemy?
That's the mystery, you see.
And some mysteries are better left unsolved.
Just something I thought of whilst re-reading The Titan's Curse. I love Nico so much, and hope he gets a bigger role in The Heroes of Olympus.
Should I continue? I love him a lot, it would be great fun.
Please review. It would meant the world to me.
Thanks for reading!
