What is Love?
By Sam the Comic Relief Midget
(A/N: This is just a short little thing I put together... fluffy slash between Merry and Pippin... sort of to make up for the lack-of-slash between them in LKNB. I have an idea for how it might work, but I'm not sure if I should do it yet... it makes Pippin look... skanky...but... even if I don't, you'll have this little piece to nibble on ^_^)

What does Love look like?
When someone asks Merry this question, he doesn't have to think about it long. Love is green. As green as the hills of the Shire, and the treetops and grass during a soft spring rain. As green as the waters of the Brandywine and the little leaves that fall from the trees into the water on a windy summer day. Love is beautiful.
What does Love smell like?
Merry is quick coming to an answer to this one as well. Love smells of many things. Sometimes Love smells like ale ( a little too much, sometimes), and often seedcake, after a long, but fun-filled night at the pub. And other times, when Love is of the mischievous sort, Love smells like the forest and even smells a little like dirt when it rolls around in ditches and fields, playing with him. Love is lovely.
What does Love sound like?
Merry doesn't even have to think about this one when someone asks it. Love sounds like cool, running water, and its voice is as sweet and pure as a babbling brook. When Love sings its song, it sounds like the Aspens that grow over the Brandywine blowing in the wind. And Loves tone is sweet enough to make the tallest mountain not look so scary, nor an evil man so frightening. Loves voice is claming and smooth. Love is melodious.
What does love feel like?
Merry smiles, remembering how Love feels. Love is warm and soft and soothing to hold. Love keeps him warm when its cold, or even when he is just frightened. And Love is soft, too, like a homemade shirt or jacket. But most of all, Love soothes Merry when he is upset, and Merry loves the softness of Loves shoulder, where he cries. Love is tender.
What does love taste like?
Merry blushes. Love tastes like the Shire. Like the woods and the trees. Love is soft in its kiss, like a kitten, and the taste is soft as well, like the warm fizz on ale. And Love often tastes like ale as well. But always, Love tastes good. It is never foul or disgusting, and it never makes Merry gag or choke. Love is delicious.
What is love?
Merry knows the answer to this one right away.
Love is beautiful.
Love is lovely.
Love is melodious.
Love is tender.
Love is delicious.
Love is...
...Love is Pippin.
