It's the same. Everything I remember... still here.
Why am I here? This time, I'm not too sure.
"You cannot go against nature," I hear it; that voice. "because when you do go against nature..."
Then, he appeared.
"It's
part of nature too."
"Jareth? What am I doing here?" I asked, knowing I wasn't going to get an easy answer.
"Our
little lives get complicated." a
crystal rolled onto his hand.
"It's a simple thing." The
crystal turned into an exotic flower; a flower that I didn't know the
name of.
"Simple
as a flower," he
handed me the flower.
"And that's a complicated thing." suddenly,
the flower faded away, only leaving a green leaf behind.
"No
new tale to tell." Jareth
said, turning around as if he was leaving.
"You can't leave me here! Tell me, please! Tell me what I'm doing here." I pleaded, for what seemed like hours, but was only seconds.
"I
told you, there is no
new tale to tell." he
walked along.
"No new tale to tell."
"You still haven't told me what I'm doing here." I stared back at him, almost in awe.
"All in due time, Sarah. All in due time." He walked closer to me.
"I can't stay here in your world, Goblin King. I don't belong here."
"My
world is your world, darling.
Might as well get used to it."
"I didn't call your name, though. I didn't! You had to have imagined it. Return me back to the Aboveground."
"People
wanna to hear their names; I'm no exception...please call my name-"
"You sick bastard! You've got me here for some little plot of yours, don't you?"
"Call
my name." he
said, tracing a finger down my jawline.
"No." I said, giving him a death glare.
"Do it. Now."
"I refuse."
He gave me one last look. "Whatever you wish, my dear."
"No
new tale to tell. No new tale to tell."
"No
new tale to tell?"
I asked.
I
realized that we were in a tall tower, looking down on the
Labyrinth.
"When you're down, it's a long way up, and when you're up, it's a long way down." I could feel his words on my neck and imprint on my brain.
"It's
all the same thing." he
looked at me.
"No, it's not, Jareth. What's wrong with you?"
"No
new tale to tell." he
said, suddenly fading into the air.
"No! You cannot leave me up here by myself!" I screamed, tears starting to stream down my face.
"No
new tale to tell."
And he was gone.
