Clouds.
Clouds were, in his experience, silly things. Useful, but silly nonetheless. Bags of water that chose the most inappropiate moments to let loose their watery weight upon unsupecting youkai that were really just trying to do their training.
His Father, for some unholy reason, liked clouds.
He liked them so much, in fact, that he could spend hours sitting back on a patch of grass, away from everything, just staring at them.
Seshoumaru found this rather aggraviating.
"What you need," He said in that painfully bored tone of his, looking at him with a risen eyebrow, "Is a lesson in patience, son."
"Hn." Came the plaintive reply.
Inu Taisho ignored his son's disgruntled and badly concealed annoyance and returned his gaze to the sky. It was going to rain soon, he could smell it in the air, and he was sure Sesshoumaru smelled it too. That was probably why he was so restless, he figured. He looked like a drown rat everytime he got caught in the rain.
"Well then, I leave you to your watching."
Sesshoumaru blinked at the words, but did not ask. He knew it would be worse when he asked, then he would know.
"It is good for your mind, to concentrate on idle things every once in a while."
The young inu youkai watched his father stand and walk away gracefully, long hair trailing after him, in utter disbelief. Surely, he didn't expect him to-
The sky rumbled, and the wrenched clouds started to remind him why exactly did he hated them.
Sesshoumaru sighed, and prepared for a long evening under the rain.
He really, really hated clouds.
