Pairing: Akira/Hikaru
Warning: shonen ai, err… that's all ^^
Disclaimer: I don't own Hikaru no Go. If I did, Akira and Hikaru would do other things than Go. *smirks*
Notes: It's my first Hikaru no Go fic. It's not even beta-ed, I'm sorry! If anyone is interested to do the job, please email me. I will give you a cookie! I have finally watched the last episode! It was so great! Damn! They should've done more episodes! Oh well, I'm gonna buy the manga now! Is it as good as the anime? I heard it was already finished.
Okay, please be kind with me. I hope you will like this fic. ^_^
Forever

There was a long silence. No one was in the Go salon at this late time, except for both of them… like every day.
Then, a sudden noise was heard when the blonde boy moved his black stones.
"How long will you be gone?"
The green-haired pro stared at his white stones, looking everything but at ease. "A month. My father wants me to meet some Chinese pro players there. He said it'd be a good training."
The bleached boy nodded silently without raising his head toward his friend. Akira wondered if it was intentional or if Hikaru was too engrossed in the game to look at him. Knowing Hikaru, maybe both.
"I… I would be back around mid-September," Akira tried to say. There was an arching feeling in his chest since he had told his rival about his soon departure. He had been prepared for a quarrel, a shout… but Akira hadn't expected this awkward silence. He knew that if Hikaru was the one to leave, he would feel sad… He would even be angry at the blonde teen, though he wouldn't show it. That wasn't how he usually was.
But Hikaru didn't show any of these signs. Akira should feel relieve, but strangely, he was disappointed.
Akira sighed. It wasn't the right time to talk about that. Maybe later, when he would be back. The green-haired teen looked once more at the smaller teen and then stood up.
"I'm leaving."
He waited a few seconds, in hope to hear Hikaru say something else to him, but the green-eyed pro kept on playing silently with his stones.
"Good night, Shindou."
After he made two steps ahead, Akira heard Hikaru say:
"I'll be waiting for you, *Akira*."
Akira. Shindou had never called him by his first name before. Something else was hidden behind those simple words. Like a promise. A warm smile appeared on the green-haired teen, but he kept on walking. "Yeah, after all, I'm still your rival, ne Hikaru?"
If he had stayed much longer, Akira would have heard one word escaping from Hikaru's mouth. One word that would have revealed everything.
"Forever."
FIN
Well, it wasn't so bad, right? Did you catch what the last word meant? Akira was saying, they were still rival. But Hikaru said they were forever rival.
*grins* They are so cute together!
Please review! I wanna know what you think about this first Hikaru no Go fic. I'm planning on writing another fic soon!
