Note: This is slightly dark, drabble. I was sick and had a bad headache earlier when I wrote this, so if it makes no sense that's understandable XD. This takes around Fifth year
It tortures me to lie, you realize that? It makes me feel worse every day lying about my Inner Eye all the time. But no, because I have seen what happens to be people who know too much about their future, I have to make sure I don't speak.
Yes I actually saw Minerva McGonagall get stormed by Stunners, I actually saw Sirius Black fall through the veil, Hermione and Harry saving Buckbeak. But can I warn them in advance, can I tell them what I've seen? No! I must make all these fake prophecies about Harry's death, must ignore my visions as telling people in advance won't allow them to make their own choices. If Harry did find out what Horcruxes were in advance, there'd be no journey for him and he would be different, he would be more cocky in his quest.
If Minerva knew that by protecting Hagrid would result in a near death experience, she might had been arrested for injuring the Headmistress before the attack even happens in her fury. Or Hagrid might be arrested if someone else finds out and tries to stop her.
Life is not fair, and people are not always honest about their stupid actions. Just realize that, and you'll find out the truth behind people's actions sooner or later, and realize who they truly are.
