-
Though the end is not yet in sight,
You speak of it like it might
Come tomorrow, So suddenly,
And then it will be mine – all mine.
---------------
No more shall men glance at me and see a boy,
No Sir,
A tall, strong man is told to me,
Who commands respect and authority,
Grown men will look up to me,
They wont see this boy in puberty.
---------------
No one sees it yet – but they will!
It's all real!
Never before had I thought it real,
Or even possible that this man is me,
I shall have power and respect,
They will all see.
-
– Wait –
-
Will they survive?
My friends?
Anyone?
What will the battle do to me?
I'll be all alone,
Everyone else gone,
Who I knew and loved.
And Mom,
She was right
And you are here now,
The only one left to help me.
---------------
Though your mission is to protect and save,
There is only one thing which I crave,
You could teach me wrong from right,
To prepare me for the fight.
It is this that I crave,
Don't you know why I misbehave?
Despite your subservience to me,
Like a father could you be?
