My feet pounded against the sharp rocks slicing into my padded toes. I could hear the terrifying screams from my only friend behind. It had to be a dream.. I had to wake up!
I stopped to catch 2 seconds of humid air when someone grabbed a hold of my scrawny ankles. I yelled with a horrifying scream when a mud covered hand clamped on to my face.
My pupils returned to a normal state when I realized it was my best friend. She started whispering with fear across her face, " I....ttt left the other.. the other way". I was disturbed by the dark red liquid dripping down her pale face. Her once blonde and silky hair now dirty and ragged.
Breathing heavily I staggered up and laid upon the stone wall behind me.
I must of fallen asleep because I awoke at the same spot I was earlier. Rebecca, my friend was slumped over at my feet.
I gently removed my pain filled feet from underneath her.
I silently crept away from her almost dead looking body. All I wanted was out. It was wrong leaving her behind but right now I didnt care.
As I started down the dark tunnel red eyes emerged in the distance. My heart thumped painfully as I backed up rather quick for someone my age.
I ended up losing my balance and toppleing over. I scurried to my feet when the beast it self came into view. He leaped into the air coming down, paws engraved into my chest. I tried to grab his fur and free myself but his claws beat me with a gory swipe to the face.
I could feel the blood pooring down, dripping into my mouth. I lied there hopelessly when suddenly I felt a tight grip on my arm.
I looked up to see Rebecca angrily starring at me. She was covered in more blood and dirt then I last saw her. I then noticed that I was never really being attacked but dreaming.
I had banged my head off the wall giving me a deep gash across my forehead, and Rebecca was just trying to stop the bleeding when I almost strangled her.
There was no way out, and we were left to die.
