I declare this The Day for Style! (But isn't it always?) So what's today without a short short SHORT Valentine's Day story?
He was just standing there, so consumed in his thoughts that he almost screeched when his best friend pounced at him, grabbing him in a hug.
"Hey, Stan! You know what day it is?" He jumped up and down in excitement, still hanging on to Stan.
He nodded, trying to collect his thoughts again.
"Yep. Valentine's day." He didn't look at Kyle, just kept staring forward. He finally backed off him, gazing at him head to toe.
"What's wrong?" He continued to stare ahead, not answering. "Is it because this Valentine's your not with Wendy?"
He finally turned to look at him, before shaking his head and looking away, even letting out a slight chuckle.
"No, but today there's going to be changes. I just don't know what effect they'll have."
"What kind of changes?"
Again he shook his head before walking off, taking a short amount of time to answer,
"You'll find out later."
That whole day Kyle watched Stan. He noticed the nervousness in his voice, and the way he couldn't keep his hands or feet still.
At the end of the day as the candy grams and roses were handed out, Kyle heard his name being called. He looked up from his desk and raised his hand as a high schooler handed him a rose. Their wasn't a tag on it like usual. No way to find out who sent him that rose.
He looked around the room. Everyone was occupied, and no one looked suspicious. Except Stan of course, who had the nervous face on he'd had all day.
After class, Kyle approached the door to go home while he was stopped by Stan.
"Hey Stan. What's up?"
"You know how- well- can I see your rose?"
He glanced at the rose he held in his hand and shrugged, handing it to Stan.
"Sure. But it doesn't say who it's from."
Stan nodded and held up a finger at him before dropping it to grab a little piece of paper and a string. He held the rose behind his index finger, carefully avoiding the thorns around it, using his other hand to tie the piece of paper tightly around the rose.
"Here you go," he said, holding out the rose for Kyle to take.
He looked at the note now on it, before snatching the rose out of his hand. He situated the note to be horizontal, before mumbling it to himself. After he was done his eyes turned wide, facing to Stan. His mouth gaped open at him.
"I told you. Changes. So, what's gonna be the effect? Good or bad?"
Kyle looked at the note once again before facing back to Stan. He smiled at him before smashing the smile against Stan's in a gentle kiss.
"Good. Definitely good."
"On this Valentine's Day I admit that
It's your sight that makes me nervous,
It's your voice that makes me shiver,
It's your presence that tingles my bones,
It's your emerald eyes that are killing me,
It's you for which my heart goes restless...
Kyle,
On this Valentine's Day, I admit that
I LOVE YOU
There you go! My Style Day story! =D
(BTW, if you didn't realize, the italicized bit at the bottom was the note on the rose)
