I never understood humans and from what I've glimpsed, I don't want to understand them. Demons are monsters, you know this, I know this. We're monsters because we kill, maim and torture. However, we do not hide out goals or intentions. No real demon would sneak around on the night of the new moon and murder you while you sleep. If we want you dead, will do it in front of everyone in the sunlight. We don't hide because we know it's cowardly. Humans aren't this honorable though, no, they'll kill you in your sleep, if they're even that honorable. More likely than not, they'll torture you without laying a hand on you, they'll kill without ever letting you know their name.
It makes me want to wretch.
Humans, they are the real monsters, not demons. We may be cruel too but at least we've got honor. Humans, where is your honor? Laying in a grave with its counterpart truth? It wouldn't surprise, both truth and honor are dead in the eyes of humans.
Yes, I remember one human, one special human. She wasn't much in my eyes even though I was young and naïve when I met her. No, she was special to my father. He loved her with all his heart. He would do anything for her, even if she asked him to cut off his balls. He loved her with every ounce of his being yet she didn't. She was very good at pretending that she did, she'd fooled everyone, my own mother, my father, Inuyasha, servants, her family. However I can tell you that she didn't love my father and my "half-brother" wasn't actually my father's son.
He was mine.
It was surprisingly easy to fool my father that my son was actually his, luckily for me. I'm certain that even I would tremble under my father's wrath. If I recall correctly, one the servants lustily eyed her while drinking with my father and he got twenty whips as punishment. Eyeing her meant being whipped, so what was the punishment for having sex with her.
Maybe I was foolish for doing so, fucking her that is. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. She was my father's consort, a gift from her father, Lord Hidaka Yoshitatsu so that he could keep his lands and have the favor of the Inu no Taisho, Toranaga Touga. He gained it for a short period time but when her father learned she was supposedly with the Inu no Taisho's second heir he decided that he wasn't that happy with the deal. In the middle of the night, a traitor took her away. That evening at dinner was the last time I had seen her before the birth of Inuyasha.
I had met them some years later. They were boarded up in a small shack normally used for storing dried fish, wood, tools and spare tatami mats. Inuyasha was very protective of her. I despised him the moment I set eyes on him even though he was my flesh and blood, not my fathers. Izayoi shooed him away. He was told to go play outside as she and I had tea. I don't remember what it tasted like, and I hardly remember the conversation. I remember being assured that Inuyasha thought my father was his father. I remember her saying that she would've come to find him but that was impossible. His father threw them in the dungeon of another one of his castles. They managed to escape the winter before.
That was the last time I had seen her. I'm not heartbroken over her, she was my father's and I only coveted her because I had fallen out of good terms with my father. Perhaps she was heartbroken over dying without meeting me again, she loved me after all, but I couldn't care less. She was a toy, a pawn, nothing more, nothing less.
