Once upon a time there was a boy, this boy loved being young, carefree, & having fun. Then one day he heard his mother & father talking about what would happen to their son when he grew up. Now the boy, who was listening to his parent's conversation, grew angry & upset, so then right then & there he vowed that he would never grow up.

The boy ran upstairs, grabbed his knapsack & put his pocketknife, a blanket, & all the money he had ever gotten inside it. He tiptoed downstairs to the kitchen & took as much food as he could fit in his sack. Then he ran out the door into the summer night, he ran & he ran all the way to Kensington gardens there he hid in the bushes so that none would find him. The boy took out his blanket wrapped himself in it & nodded off to sleep.

Tinkle… tinkle, suddenly the boy awoke to the sound of bells. He thought it might have been some passerby & tried to go to sleep, but then there were the bells again. So he slowly got up & followed the sound being as quite as possible. He finally arrived at a circular clearing, with benches placed around a fountain. The boy crawled over to a bench; in between the bars he spied a bright, shimmery light. The light surrounded a small person with wings who was making soft tinkling sounds. Though strangely enough the fact that the person in front of him was a fairy is not what fascinated him, it was that he could understand her every word. He understand that she was quite puzzled & decided to come to earth to search for a trinket to contribute to the fairy queen. Quickly but quietly the boy searched his knapsack for a crown & sovereign. He quietly approached the fairy but stepped on a twig which gave a loud crack sound. The fairy turned rapidly searching for the source of the sound & saw the boy then zipped off into the bushes. Wait the boy called & he produced the two coins, laid them on the ground by the bush, slowly backed away a bit, & sat. Hesitantly the fairy came out, inspected the two coins, tinkling & nodding with approval. She scooped them up & was about to fly away, when the boy called out to her again & asked if he could go with her. She stopped, pondered this thought a bit & nodded, but then tinkled, only if you tell me your name. He nodded & replied Peter Pan.
