Ok so all disclaimers to Fox and all that jazz, this is again playing on the ever intensifying relationship between our favourite dynamic duo on Bones, enjoy!
She was a world-renowned anthropologist, who, through many years of intense study, still could not understand what was playing out before her. The ridiculously well built Special Agent, she had familiarised as Booth, stood before her, bearing his heart on his sleeve, rendering her speechless. His words were few in comparison to his emotions, as were her own reactions to his display of vulnerability.
"Bones, we both share common ground when it comes to failed parents and crappy childhoods. I didn't think I could ever get through analysing and recovering from what I was brought up in. Looking back on your own past, I never thought I'd be able to give you any advice either. But Bones, two is better than one." Whispered her partner. Revealing more of his emotions in his tone than his words.
She was never one for psychology, and perhaps he was being condescendingly open, but Temperance never understood a person better at that moment. He was admitting that together they could live through anything. That they were better together, than individually.
Her eyes shone with worry, he had misjudged, so many times before had she fallen from the high stool men had put her on.
"Booth, I know nothing of phycology or even emotional healing, please don't expect me to ever be able to help you, as much as I want to."
"Bones" he chuckled, "You underestimate yourself" he cooed, moving in to her, as he built his speech.
"You've uncovered more of me than any trained therapist could ever have, and for tha-"
Being unable to bear his open heart any longer she closed it with her mouth. Her eyes unleashing tears she had been holding back so barely. Sobbing quietly into him.
Knowing when to shut up Booth let her kiss him and then hugged her, realizing once again that they were not ones for words, but actions. They displayed their feelings through, guiding hands, sidewards glances and linger touches. So why would this be any different?
Together they stayed in an intimate embrace until the morning, somewhere along the way slipping into unconsciousness.
Their dreams were filled with questions, undeniably more intense than ever before. For both of them such closeness had never been experienced before, to handle it was almost unbearably overwhelming. Booths mind was filled with the events that had lead him to this moment
To be continued!
I wasn't sure how well I'd be able to pull of writing for Booth and Bones but from your last response to my attempt I thought id try again! Hope you enjoyed it and remember reviewing equals sequels :D
