Christmas One-shot, though I know it's not Christmas.
Just hope you would like it…. Please review.
Nobody's following you. Stop being so paranoid.
I chanted that to myself, on and on, as I walked. But I was not able to distract myself. I really was feeling as if somebody was behind me. I shivered, though it's not so cold here, even in December. I could feel somebody's gaze burning through my cashmere wrap around dress, but when I turned, I saw no one. Huh.
It was foolish of me to rely on Jessica. I should have brought my own car. When the party at Tyler's had started to make me nauseous, I had gone on my search mission for Jessica, who was nowhere to be seen. We had driven to the party together in her withered old sentra. It was better than driving in my truck, though. Much, much better. I had gone to Jessica's car, to check if she was there, only to find Jessica, in a full hot and heated make out session with mike, in the back seat. My chest hurt, my eyes prickled up. I knew it was foolish to cry to see someone kissing, but the kiss brought back some of my memories with him to the front of my mind. Edward's kisses.
It was Christmas Eve and he was yet to call me. We had not spoken to each other in days. He was too busy with his work in Alaska. Ugh. It sucks to be in a long distance relationship. Seriously, I missed that guy. And I think Edward is losing his interest in me. I fear some bimbo has caught his eye. A sob broke through me.
The leaves near the footpath rustled. And I'm damn sure I heard a cough. I turned quickly. But there was nobody there.
I shuddered. There was a stalker behind me. I had to put an end to it. I knew it was not wise to stop and talk to strangers, so I started walking faster.
The footsteps though quiet, moved faster too. I started sweating, my vision got blurry. There was not a soul around here that can save me. Completely silent.
I was at my wit's end. Yet, I walked. I neared a church. I heard the clock strike 12, and heard the chorus of "Merry Christmas" erupting through the ringing of my ears. But my mind did not concentrate on that.
I was about to pass out, as 2 manly hands wrapped around my waist from behind. A warm breath caressed my bare shoulders, and I felt a warm mouth whispering in my ears,
"Merry Christmas, love."
I turned to see Edward standing there, his eyes shining, and a crooked grin on his face.
"You didn't think you'd spend Christmas alone, did you?" he said in his musical voice, smirking.
"Edward! How did you-" but I did not get a chance to complete the sentence as two soft, warm lips crashed on mine.
It was a merry Christmas, indeed.
A/N: So this was my Christmas one-shot.
Review, I love people who review.
