A/N: My Second CM fic. First for Reid/Morgan. Set Post- 6x01. I don't remember what the episode is called. But it's the one with the black-out serial killer who kidnaps the detective's daughter and stuff. Ellie was her name. It's short, but I think it's good.
Warnings: Guy-love. But nothing really.. That shows.
Disclaimer: If only I could own Spencer Reid or Aaron Hotchner or Derek Morgan.. Or Criminal Minds. Or the Actors. uguu. I'd be the happiest person in the WORLDD~
The side of Derek Morgan that he never wanted to show his co-workers was one that Reid was.. Slowly becoming more acquainted with as time (and their relationship) moved forward. He forced the facade of a "Macho-man" around his team, but as soon as he was home, the mask chipped.
".. It isn't your fault." He heard Reid say as the pair sauntered towards Morgan's apartment.
"I know," Morgan's voice was soft as he waited for Reid to produce the key to unlock the door.
"You can shower first, if you'd like. I've also got some ibuprofen for your head. Oh wait.. Tylenol PM would probably be better; to help you sleep. You know, the component that helps you sleep is just a simple benz-" Reid silenced himself shortly after stepping in the door, spotting the grim look on his lover's face.
"Reid, I don't care about how Tylenol PM tired, alright? I just want to shower and then go to bed." It wasn't until he saw Spencer shrink into himself that he relized the sting in his tone. A sigh escaped his lips before he shook his head and pulled his companion into a tight embrace.
"I'm sorry.." He felt the younger agent mumble into his shoulder.
"Me too," For once, his strong voice wavered, eyes rapidly blinking back emotion. He would NOT cry. He scolded his body whilst pulling away from Reid and quickly retreating to the bathroom for aforementioned shower and glanced at the freshly-stitched wound on his forehead; a constant reminder that he had failed Ellie and her father because he, the FBI agent, wasn't strong enough to subdue a fifty-year-old man.. A girl got to watch her father die.
He shed his clothes and stepped into the shower, standing with his back to the stream. The hot water soothed his tense muscles slightly. That was when the tears started to fall down his face. HE was glad that he at least got to shed his front alone; the last thing he needed to do was get the others to worry about him more, especially Reid.
A/N: I hope this was good, too. I'm sorry if Morgan seems a little too.. Emotional. But I figure, the strong, alpha-male needs to let his guard down eventually. And this just seemed like a good time to make him do it. ;) Also, sorry that it's so short. o: I just have these little ideas for fan-fics when I watch the episodes. There are moments in them that intrigue me. I don't remember what it was in this one now, but still! The Review button, and myself, really love when you press it and type up a review. Critiques are VERY welcome. I just want to improve to suit you, the reader.
