Description: this is a story I have been working on for a while. This is my ninth Dawson's Creek piece, it's a poem. Enjoy.
Disclaimer: I may not own the characters but this story is original and from my imagination.
Author's note: this is a Pacey/Joey poem. I see it as reflected from Joey's pov. Let me know if you think otherwise. Read and review.
Persistent Love:
Never have I been this persistent.
Must the one I love be so resistant?
It should be a crime.
Fell for him in the least bit of time.
Leant him my heart.
Not once did he hesitate to tear it apart.
Never stood a chance, not even from the start.
Was convinced he was the one for me.
A future with him, I surely did see.
Kills me to know we're not meant to be.
Could never hate him if I tried.
To him always my heart is tied.
It's him I love, I cannot lie.
Afraid I always will even when I die.
After him, I will forever chase.
My love for him is a never ending race.
Wish he would let me plead my case.
His constant rejection brings much disgrace.
My heart won't let me say goodbye.
At night, I close my eyes and cry.
He's the one I want, yet I'm unsure why.
My love for him has grown quite strong.
Refuse to give up, he'll be mine before long.
Make no mistake, his resistance will fall.
I'm in this for love or nothing at all.
Four years I have waited in vain.
Often I have suffered, many in pain.
My friends and family ask, 'have you gone insane?'
I tell them not to worry.
For love there is no hurry.
