Kagome backed away from the evil monster slowly. "Inuyasha w-will come save me!" She warned the creature as it crept closer, it's mandibles clicking ominously. "Stay back!" Kagome shrieked, clutching her towel around her body "Not one step closer or Inuyasha will come!" Kagome backed away from the evil being until she felt her brush up against the rough bark of a tall tree that stood near the hot springs. Still the creature advanced, giving no sign or hearing Kagome's panicked warnings or noticing the threatening way that Kagome swung her bathing bag at it.
"EEEEEK!" Kagome screamed as it brushed against her side, beady eyes staring at her maliciously. It ignored the panicked Miko and began to crawl up her quaking body. "Ew... INUYASHA!!!!" Kagome screamed again, praying to any deity that would listen for Inuyasha to come save her as he always did. Franticly she batted at the creature with her bath scrub-brush and sent it flying to the ground only to right itself and continue to approach the frightened girl.
"What's your problem, wench?" A gruff voice said from the top of the tree. Kagome sighed in relief, her savior had arrived. Now he just had to save her from the horrible creature that threatened her life.
"Kill it Inuyasha!" She commanded as the creature reached her again. There was a blur of red and white as the hanyou dropped from the tree to land at her side. Inuyasha gave Kagome a strange look.
"Kill what Kagome?" Inuyasha asked in befuddlement. "I don't see anything." He leaned closer and sniffed her. "Miroku hasn't given you any of his sake has he?" Kagome fixed Inuyasha with a stony glare until the creature touched her bare toes.
"EEEEKK!!" Kagome yelped jumping behind Inuyasha "Kill it!" She squeaked, pointing to the ground. Inuyasha followed her finger with his gaze and then shot her an incredulous look when he saw the menace.
"Kagome..." He sighed.
"Kill it..." Kagome whined, ducking behind Inuyasha further as the creature began to approach the both of them.
"It's a spider. It's not gonna hurt you wench!" Inuyasha said, trying to hide his amusement at his companion's predicament.
"Kill it!" Kagome ordered her so called knight in shining armor. The knight in shining armor rolled his eyes but squished the tiny arachnid nonetheless. Kagome sighed in relief that the threat had been eliminated.
"It was just a bug, wench." Inuyasha said in bemusement. Kagome glared at him and clutched her towel even tighter around her body.
"It was not 'just a bug', Inuyasha!" She snapped "It was gigantinormous!" She explained with an indignant look reserved just for her rescuer.
"Keh!" Inuyasha said, folding his arms and rolling his eyes. "It was tiny." He scoffed. Kagome stopped and glared at him.
"Was not!"
"How can you face evil youkai and kill them, and still be afraid of a tiny bug?" Inuyasha inquired innocently. Kagome threw up her hands and began walking again.
"Gah! How could you understand?" She grumbled. Inuyasha followed, mocking her movements.
"Keh!" He muttered "At least I'm not terrified of a tiny bug, wench!" He pointed out, in hindsight, probably not the best move he's ever made.
"OOOHHHHH!" Kagome yelled "You insufferable- Gah! SIT!" She yelled over her shoulder as she stormed away.
And thus Inuyasha kissed the dirt once again.
That's all folks!
