DISCLAIMER: I do NOT own any of the characters of BMFM, they belong to
their creators .what a shame. But since I've created Eve, I guess I own
her.correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not making any money out of this fic and
blaah blaah.oh, you all know the drill.
NOTE: This first chapter is supposed to be a kind of a prologue so it's
supposed to be short. And I apologize for my writing errors. English ain't
my mother tongue so cut me some slack people, please. ;)

She was standing outside Base 4. The sun had started to set behind the volcanoes and rock formations. A gentle breeze went through her deep brown hair and she cursed herself not getting a warmer jacket. She was only wearing her old, badly grease-stained, green army-type jacket and jeans. She should have known better. But she didn't want to go back there. She just wanted to stand here, alone, getting ready for tonight.
She looked up at the sky. *It's a big world out there, much bigger than they probably except* She looked at their ship which wasn't in really great shape but Stoker was still positive it would fly, even after a near accident the week before. *Gods, that guy can be a real pain in the ass* She tried to turn her thoughts away from the accident. She really didn't like the idea of the guys blowing up after lift off. *Vinnie would probably enjoy it, though* She laughed at the thought and shivered.
The sun had already set and Phobos and Deimos were rising when the guys came out of the base, ready to rock 'n ride right of this planet.
"Whatcha thinking about, Sweetheart? You seem kinda quiet, or at least quieter than normal", Vinnie said while riding his bike into the ship's hold.
"Oh, nothing much, just planning all the crazy, wild things I'll do with Carbine after you guys are gone", she said, flashing Vinnie her most mischievous smile.
"Yeah, right, like I'm ever gonna believe that", Throttle said and smiled, walking out of the ship.
"Na, she's just worried, like always", Stoker cut in, patting her hair like she was a child. He had always treated her as his little sister, from the second his parents found her 14 years ago. Being treated as a child kinda gets to be a drag when your almost 18, though. "No, I am NOT worried!" she said, trying to defend herself. *At least not much*
It was well past midnight when the guys were finally ready to go.
*I hate goodbyes* She could feel her eyes burn when she looked at him. "I hate goodbyes", she whispered while looking up at the dark night sky. It looked so big but yet so peaceful. From the corner of her eye she could see him walking towards her. She turned away and wiped her brown eyes with the back of her hand.
"Hey you", he said, trying desperately to find the right thing to say.
She looked down at her boots, still feeling a bit intimidated by his new looks. She hated what this war had done to her planet and to her best friends. It was so unfair.
"Friggin' desert sand, I just washed these boots", she said and finally looked up to face him.
"Right.Well, I guess this is good bye then." he said, his face a lot more serious than normal.
"Listen, could we just past that whole goodbye-thing? I just want you to go and complete your mission and come back here in one piece, ok?"
"You know I'll do everything to make that happen, Eve-ma'am", he said and the situation grew more awkward by the second. They hadn't been together for that long and having their friends watch their every move made it difficult to say exactly what you wanted. Suddenly, he leaned to her and quickly kissed her on the cheek.
"I'll miss you", he said and started to walk towards the ship.
"I'll miss you too, Modo.", she whispered.
She stood and watched them take off. Everything seemed to be going great. *At least there's no explosions or fire*
"Kick some Plutarkian ass for me!" she yelled from the top of her lungs. Then she decided it was about time for her to get back to the base. After all, she had been standing outside for hours now and she hadn't really been able to feel her toes for about an hour. She embraced herself while walking the short path back to the base.
"Hey, Eve, you better hurry if you don't wanna turn into a popsicle!", Stoker yelled. "It's gonna be one hell of a cold night, you know."
"Yeah, I know, I know", she said, walking into the welcoming warmth of the base.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^ Ok, so that was the prologue, I hope you didn't fall asleep while reading it. Since this is my very first fic, I'd REALLY appreciate it if you would review. Please! It would also tell me whether or not anyone bothered to read this.I'll try to write the next chapter ASAP but since I'm a very busy girl, it might take a while. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^
