Carter had been cooped up in his room ever since they had freed Zia and she hadn't even recognized him. He didn't eat with everyone else, and he hardly showed his face. He had really been hoping for Zia to recognize him and he hadn't even realized it. He had been looking for that fairytale ending, but now he was starting to realize that fairytales were just full of it. If 'Happily Ever After's did exist he would be holding Zia in his arms right now as they laughed, talked, and just had a good time.

Carter sighed as he realized how he would probably never win her over if she didn't even remember the good times had together (Well, I guess it wasn't really with her. It was with her Shabti). How was it Sadie had described it? Ah, yes. Like standing at a payphone, waiting for all of the change I've spent on you.
