Day dirtied his hair until it was a light brown and dressed in all black, a mask to cover his face. He loaded all of the tools they would need into a small sack. He looked over at June and couldn't help but gape a little. Even covered in dirt and dressed in loose black clothes with her hair pulled up into a messy bun she was absolutely gorgeous.
Her golden eyes glittered as she looked at him and smiled mischievously. "You ready for this?" she asked.
He snapped out of his reverie and smirked at her. "Are you kidding? I was born ready." He said haughtily.
June smiled. "So you'll get the supplies we need from the army surplus and I'll sneak into the headquarters get the codes we're going to need for the next strike." she said, repeating it like she had a thousand times before.
"And then we meet at the old warehouse at the edge of the city and make our retreat." Day finished.
June nodded and the two of them left the boxcar and headed to the edge of the city.
Day looked over at June, his eyes full of concern. "Be careful." He said, pulling her in for a quick kiss.
"Don't worry, I will be." June said, nodding and smiling reassuringly.
"Be back here in one hour." Day said commandingly.
After a quick answer June ran off, Day running off in a different direction. 'This is how it's going to be from now on.' Day realized, 'Just you and me against the world.'
