Did he think he was going to get away with this? Who in their right mind would burn a person's feet? And a blind person's feet at that?

Zuko. That's who.

A person who is brave, no stupid, enough to burn Toph Beifong's feet should surely be punished, it was just how it is. It was Toph Logic and nobody messed with Toph Logic. Nobody.

So when Toph accidently tripped Zuko on a piece of rock after a vigorous and frustrating training session with Aang, it was completely justified.

"Hey!" Shouted a very irritated Zuko.

"What?" Asked Toph sweetly.

Katara, who had watched the exchange from where she was cooking, looked on with a smirk.

"What was that for!?"

"What was what for?"

"You know what!"

Toph wore a devious grin while widening her eyes and wringing her small hands together.

"But I don't. So please, oh so great sir Sparky, tell me, a blind, fragile little girl what happened."

Zuko tensed, then turning completely red at the silly nickname.

"You…uh…Tripped me," he stuttered.

"Huh? No way!" She faked gasped.

Turning around, she shot a mischievous wink at Katara who winked back. Zuko however, just slumped his shoulders while sulking away.

The next time was after they watched, or heard, the terrible play retelling their adventures.

"Hey Sparky."

"Yeah?"

"Your scar is on the wrong side."

Zuko frowned while Toph smiled cheekily. Aang, who was meditating close by, wore a befuddled expression.

"Wait, your scar is on the wrong side?"

Toph and Zuko swivelled their heads towards the source of the question and Aang shrunk under Zuko's glare.

"I know right!" Agreed Toph excitedly.

"Yeah now that I think about it, it does look a little bit off," muttered Aang thoughtfully.

Zuko's frown only grew longer.

Before Sozin's Comet, Zuko thought Toph was just too distracted to tease him, but he still asked why she stopped all of a sudden.

"Aren't you going to tease me?"

"Why would I do that?" She asked while leaning back casually against a boulder.

It was pretty obvious, so when he asked her again he immediately felt stupid.

"But don't you usually tease or trip me up at this time of day?"

"Well I would since burning my feet is a big no no," Zuko winced, "but you accepted it with no questions and just dealt with it. I respect that,"

He blinked, then smiled.

"Oh.. Thank you."
