Zoe had been gone from Holby for a whole year now, she had moved to Manchester a month after her divorce from Max went through. Although she missed all of her friends from Holby she knew that moving away was one of the only options for her, after almost considering suicide to ride her of her guilty feelings about sleeping with another man.
Zoe had found a new job in a hospital near to where she was working and she had made new friends, although she had not started dating other people as she knew that it was too soon, even a year later, to get into a new relationship that probably wouldn't really mean anything anyway.
She sat in her empty apartment as she sighed at the boxes on the floor, he'd never fully unpacked all of the boxes and her suitcase because she never felt at home and she knew that she never would do because home was the apartment that she'd bought for her and Max. Home was Max.
She still had his number saved on her phone, although the heart emoticon that used to sit next to it had gone, it was just plain 'Max' and that hurt but it was the truth she still had him in the back of her mind everyday but there was no love anymore, and there hadn't been for a very long time.
The unpacked boxes held jackets, cardigans, bags, and ornaments that never got used or put up around her new house, because she feared that it might make it feel more like home and she didn't want to replace what she used to have.
Zoe's phone suddenly alerted her to a text that she had received, presuming it was someone from work she walked over to her bag and pulled out her phone to see what the text message read.

Please come backā¦
Just a little one-shot; I had this idea earlier on this week and I wanted to write so today in Science I did just that to distract me from the boredom of physics temporarily. I'm currently working on another Rita story around mental health, similar idea to the last one.
Hope you enjoyed this. I'm so busy recently with college open days (help me) and school work as well as finding time to relax and socialise with the limited number of friends that I have so bear with me on updates as they will most likely not be very often.
