Hello readers that I hopefully have! This is my second fanfic for Holby City . I hope you enjoy it!
Colette's POV
"Why should I trust you?" I said to the man stood beside me. I was drunk, but he had a certain look to him that I could know him. I was in Albie's drowning my sorrows away. Dom and Cara were here earlier, but they left as soon as a gang came in. They were rowdy, and soon got sent out by the bartender, who in fact, was named Colette. She was smiling at the man stood next to me. "Do you know him?" I said to Colette. "Yes, he was the boss at the old hospital I used to work in." She said. "Come on Col, we're going back. You have an early shift in the morning don't you?" the man said to me. As I started to gather up my coat, I said bye to Colette and stumbled out of the bar. I was trying to remember what I was thinking; he was my previous fiancée and my best friend. I could have pulled him up. But instead, I left him to fall. As I opened the door, I felt dizzy, almost as if I was going to collapse...
When I woke up, I felt my head spinning. What had I drunk last night? As I leant up, I realised I wasn't in my bed. My surroundings were familiar, but still not crystal clear. As I looked to my left, I saw a written on the bedside table. Breaking the seal of the envelope, I saw extremely neat handwriting, which could only be Guy Self's. I'm in his house. He was the man from last night. As I began to read the note, I saw the time. 9:50. My shift starts in half an hour. I'll have to apologise at work. Getting dressed, I quickly texted Cara that I was going to be late and that I hope that everything is ok with Fletch. Grabbing my keys, I ran out to the car and started the engine.
When I finally got to work, I went straight to the locker room to get my scrubs on. I could visit Fletch on my lunch break. Rushing out, I gave my apologies to Serena and went to visit my first patient. "Clara Russel, aged 59, transferred from St. James's." The trainee nurse said. "Chest and Back injuries, she was involved in a car incident." As I took the notes off of her, I examined the main wounds and sent her up to get an X-Ray. Sorting out the notes, I turned around to see Serena, standing behind me. "You can take a break now, and go and see Fletch, otherwise you probably won't get off till around three o'clock. It's going to be hectic here later; we've got all the cases from the ED coming up." She said. "Thank you" I said, as I headed off to ICU.
All the doctors were rushing around and the Alarms were ringing in my ears. There were shock machines everywhere, and the Crash team were as rushed as ever. I heard them yelling "Adrien? Can you hear me? Mr Fletchland?"
My mouth dropped. That was Fletch they were on about. Dumping my bag on a chair, I rushed into the room in which he was in. He had tubes running all over him. I saw the worried look on their faces. They were starting to doubt. "Keep going! Please!" I yelled, as one of the ICU nurses removed me from the room.
