Melissa stared out the restaurant window. She had been nursing a glass of wine for the past half an hour. She had come inside the small restaurant as small drops of water had started hitting the floor. She had been coming to this place in the past few years she was familiar with most of the staff.

Turning her head from the window she took another sip of her wine before removing a file from her suitcase. She tried to focus on her work but her mind refused to cooperate. It had been 3 months. 3 months since the man that she loved had walked out of her life. 3 months since she had chosen to end things with him, because they had different beliefs and wanted different things in life.

3 months ago she had woken up in his bed, her head resting on his chest. 3 months ago he had kissed her forehead before getting her breakfast in bed. 3 months ago he had taken her to their favorite place in London and told her that he loved her. 3 months ago Melissa had thought that they could move on and have a family together. 3 months ago he told her he was marrying someone else. 3 months ago Melissa's world had come crashing down on her.

The restaurant's doors opened and Melissa's head turned slightly to see who had arrived now. Dizziness surrounded her as she noted that Eric Kahn had walked in his hand placed on the back of Alison DiLaurentiss. Eric stopped at the entrance and stared at her while the hostess approached him and Alison.

Melissa was relieved to see they were taken away to the other side of the restaurant. She quickly gathered her stuff and headed to the exit after paying her tab. When she pushed open the door to get out an arm suddenly caught her waist stopping her.

"We need to talk." Eric stood there watching the dark shadows under her eyes. "I will not let you disappear again on me."

"You said all there is to say. A Kahn will marry Alison by the end of the summer, and you are ready for marriage. I have nothing to say to you except that if you do not release me right now I will file a case for a restraining order. Goodbye Eric."

Melissa removed her elbow from his grip taking a step into the rain when she felt Eric's hand circle her waist throwing her on his shoulder. His bodyguard stepped in taking her suitcase as he carried her away to his car.

Melissa struggled with Eric's grip as he threw her inside the car closing the door behind him. "One of these days you're going to drive me so mad I'm going to wring your neck." She tried to readjust herself. Eric looked at her before pushing her back on the car's back seat.

"Here's the thing baby. Before you wring my neck, I'm taking you home, stripping you down and we're not leaving the bed for at least a week. And you know why? Because Noel is the one getting married to Alison. I was going to propose to you but you misinterpreted my words and got riddled up over nothing. I have spent 3 months trying to find you. 3 months facing the complete silence from both your brother and sister and over what? Your distrust in me?"

"Noel and Alison? But I thought…" Eric's hand locked in her hair, his mouth descending on her while she kissed him back. "I'm so sorry. I was such an idiot."

"You were but bottom line is you are my idiot. I came in with Alison tonight because Noel is running late and they had to go over through wedding details. I've left her at the table to wait for him after I've explained to her I'm dragging my own future wife back home to bed. She wants you to be her bridesmaid."

"You haven't proposed yet." Melissa raised her lips and kissed his neck. "But I will still let you take me home to persuade me I want to marry you."
