Subtle Fan Fiction

Summary: Wonder Woman tries to be subtle and fails in more ways than one… One shot, my usual Bruce Wayne shipping

One afternoon Wonder Woman, and Batman sat in the bat cave at separate stations both using the bat-wave for a purpose of some kind. Wonder Woman tried to make conversation but only managed to get grunts from the reclusive Bat. So she had found a new way of entertaining herself: Fan Fiction.

Naturally she was drawn to the Justice League section, favoring Diana/Bruce shippers. She struggled not to laugh, and, for the most part, sufficed with a grin. Bruce, meanwhile, was contenting himself by searching through Arkham records, expecting a breakout any second. (Wisely.)

"Bruce?"

"Uhm."

"Have you seen these?"

"Seen what?" Asked the weary Batman in a less-than-interested voice.

"This Fan Fiction?"

"Does it say if anyone has broken out of Arkham?"

"Bruce, are you listening to me?"

"Uh-huh. Fan Fiction."

"You know it's funny these kids…"

"Yeah."

"They really seem to like to couple us justice leaguers up… I wonder if anyone else actually reads these? So, Bruce?"

"Uh."

"Know the popular couple Bruce?"

"Surprise me."

"Batman and WW!" Batman didn't say anything, "WW is Wonder Woman, abbreviated".

Bruce nodded, "You don't say."

Wonder Women pout-edly glared at him, which he paid no attention to, she sighed and turned back to her Fan Fiction choosing Batman as her new category. She scanned through looking for her shipper-competition. She gasped.

Pause. Batman sighed, "What is it Diana?"

"Do you know who they've paired you with?"

Batman rolled his eyes, which were hidden by his hood, which he had not been inspired to remove, "Who?"

"Catwoman!"

"Catwoman?"

"Catwoman!"

"Catwoman." Bruce thought for a second, "Click on that one." He got up and moved behind her, and she clicked on it. "Does it say where she lives?" He scanned the story.

"Yes… These apartments in-"

"Batwave gotta go." Batman ran away, hopped into his car and sped off, leaving Wonder Woman alone in the Batcave.

She watched him leave. "Well… There's always fan fiction…"

Meanwhile

Batman tracked down Catwoman's apartment, with the apartment number he was also able to determine her real name: Selina Kyle, and other various things. When he arrived, he broke down the door, and there, on her bed, she sat, as if she had been waiting for him.

"Catwoman?"

"Meowrrrrrr."

"Will you give up your evil ways, become my new partner, marry me and live happily ever after?"

"Sure Bruce." She smiled, pulling off her hood and shaking her hair around.

"How did you know my name was-", Batman began to ask.

Catwoman laughed as she jerked a thumb toward her computer which sat in a corner, "Fan Fiction!'
