Hermione rolled her eyes and sighed, amused: it had taken Ron about 2 hours before he had lost his temper and started shouting abuse at the family computer. She still didn't understand why he absolutely had to be the one who fixed their computer after its mysterious crash the previous day. And "Muggle style" too, as he said, with absolutely no magic involved.
He didn't even use that stupid thing! She was its sole user, mainly to keep in touch with her family. So why did he bother?! Maybe it was the fact that he wanted to act like the man of the house; that plus his awful temper most likely.
She couldn't help but feeling touched though by all his efforts to try and learn more about her Muggle background. His dad had most certainly paved the way, but since they had started dating, Ron had shown a real interest in her culture. To the point of being annoying more often than not, but he was just being his usual self after all. And she loved him for that too.
That was also because she loved him that Hermione had discretely searched for a spell in one of her numerous books during the night and fixed the computer before breakfast. She had then gone back to bed as if nothing had happened. She hadn't realized Ron had woken up until she heard him yell a happy "yes!!" from the living room. She smiled, still half-asleep, and refrained from giggling when he jumped next to her, proudly announcing:
"I fixed your bloody muggle thing! I fixed it!"
"Thank you, love."
"Told you I'd do it! Told you so!" he repeated while wrapping his arms around her.
"I never doubted you, Ron Weasley."
