Left Behind
He said he loved me, as I recall,
Now I know that can't be true at all.
Memories of us won't go far nor wide,
I struggle in despair to push them aside.
Now that you've left, there is moonless night,
The abyss within me feels so cold and tight.
Full of misery and anguish, my heart had shivered,
Until light and hope was delivered.
An old friend came to stitch the hollow in me,
The doors had been locked, he'd handed me the key.
But then he departed in all but mind,
Leading to the end of what little ray of hope there was left behind.
AN: Like I said, I wrote this a few years back. I've slightly edited it. I do hope you've enjoyed it. Thank you for reading. Reviews would be appreciated3 :)
