A Dream Come True
Chapter One
Los Angeles, California was amazing. It was more than I expected. I had spent the past week touring the city with my best friend Cassandra. Ever since grade 8, I have wanted to come to Los Angeles. I wanted to come even more after I had done a career project and the career I chose was a 'Special Effects Technician'. After doing all the research, I was loving this job even more. After graduating high school and receiving my desired French certificate, I decided to give Los Angeles a try so I planned a month stay there. After I told Cassandra my plan, she said she would accompany me. I remembered from years ago when I first told her I wanted to go to Los Angeles and maybe Las Vegas that she said "Oooh, I'll come!"
We had an early flight so we decided to have a sleepover. We ordered pizza and decided to watch some movies. We settled on a movie that we had loved for years and what kind of brought us together as best friends. That and the fact that ever since senior kindergarten, we were two of the eight grade eights that remained at the school we had been at for ten years. We thought about staying up and watching the other four movies but it wouldn't have been a good idea considering we had to catch a flight at 5:00 A.M.
We got up and had a quick breakfast. We went straight to the airport. The flight was about 8 hours (A/N: I don't actually know if that's how long it takes…just a guess).
"Attention passengers, we are about to land so please put your seatbelts on." Said the pilot.
"Jocelyn we're almost there!" Cassandra said.
She thought she was excited? I was bouncing in my seat! I had been waiting for 6 years to come to Los Angeles. It was early evening when we got there so we decided to go have dinner. We looked for signs and decided on going to Boa Steakhouse. Once we were seated we ordered our drinks. After a few minute the waitress came back and we ordered our meals. We both ordered steak and fries. We don't need fancy things. Once they came we both started eating. We hadn't eaten anything besides peanuts on the plane.
We didn't want to but we had to do it. We both ordered cheesecake for dessert. We paid for our bill and were just walking out when I bumped into something. I turned around to see it was a man.
"I am so sorry!" I said.
"No, no I'm sorry. I should have been watching where I was going." He said. And with that we both walked away. I couldn't help but feel that I had seen that face before. That dark hair, tanned skin and breathtaking smile. We were almost at the hotel when I figured out who it was. It was Taylor Lautner.
