If you could choose one word to describe Dominic Toretto what would it be? Fast? Angry? Scary? Those are all well and good, but they're wrong. One word to describe Dom: possessive. Don't believe me, consider the evidence.

Mia Toretto. Dom's sister was as good as his possession. He had to approve any possible boyfriends. She cooked, she cleaned. His treatment of her was almost medieval. You would think she would fight this. She doesn't, though. She accepts it, because she knows that Dom's the leader.

Vince. Despite his random moments of independence, he'll always come back. He'll always defer to Dom in regards to anything important. Ever since they were 8, he's followed the other man. That's just the way Dom is.

Dom's like gravity. Everyone's drawn to him. But, once you get in, he's not going to let go. Your stuck rotating around him for the rest of your life. Dom becomes your sun.

Leon got drawn in. Leon's not as much like Vince as he is like Mia, though. Leon accepted quickly enough his status as Dom's possession. Leon does what he's told. He doesn't fight it, just goes with the flow.

Jesse is completely different from all the others. Jesse knows he's Dom's and he takes full advantage of that fact. Jesse loves his position. Nothing can bring Jesse down as long as Dom's there to look after him. That's all Jesse needs, someone to guide him.

Then, there's Brian. Brian's complicated. The blonde cop didn't even know what was going on until it was to late. He didn't even realize that when Mia said that Dom owned him now, she was being quite literal. Brian didn't see.

That doesn't change the fact that Brian is as much Dom's as the others. Ignorance is not an excuse. Now, Brian may have been bad, he may have betrayed them, but that still didn't change whom he belonged to. Some part of him knew that when he gave those keys to Dominic Toretto.

Now, though, Brian's gone and done something he really shouldn't have done. Brian's gone and disappeared. Brian's running away from Dom and everything he represents. Running's not going to work though. Dom's going after Brian.

After all, Brian is Dom's possession.
