Outside snow was falling, adding another layer to the already three feet high drifts. Inside a purple-haired girl, no more than three read before a crackling fire. Had an observer seen this child, he/she might have noted what heavy content this book, the child read, was; especially, for a child of her age. This home itself smelled of cookies, and freshly made bread.

Several circular air ripples appeared, along with a ripping sound. The little girl looked up, a wide smile spreading over face. "Daddy," she cried happily; flying upward and into his arms.

"Yuuki," said this new arrival, kissing his daughters hair.

A green-haired woman appeared in the doorway that connected the living room and kitchen; her stomache heavy with another child.

"How was the meeting?" Retasu asked.

"Fine, my love," said Pai, striding forward and kissing his wife, in greeting.

Yuuki giggled at the action, and Retasu tickled her, smiling fondly. Pai gently touched her stomache, and Retasu laughs suddenly.

"What is funny?" Pai asked, curiously.

"Remember, in July," she touched her stomache, "This one was conceived under the tree poisoned by mistletoe."

"I remember."

Retasu pointed at the ceiling and smiled, "Mistletoe."

And then she stood on tiptoe and kissed him.

According to Wikipedia Mistletoe is a type of parasite-plant that kills trees.
