There was something that bothered Shotaro endlessly, but he didn't know what. He could only describe it as a feeling of a feeling, or a memory of such. That didn't get him very far on trying to figure things out, however, no, quite the opposite. He needed to know what it was that nagged him.

Akiko was baking, as she had been for a couple of days. She had been interested in the activity ever since their last finished case with Sweets. Not that she was any good from the very beginning, nor did she improve her knowledge. In opposite, she lost the few abilities that she might have had from the beginning. And to force him and his partner Philip to eat them... Both of them feared her pastry.

Thinking of Philip, where was he?
Probably in the garage, since it was dangerous for him to go outside. Maybe he was researching something again, it wouldn't be weird if he was. Philip was always researching some thing or another, after all.

He followed Akikos movemements for a while, until Philip came into the room from the garage. Akiko noticed as well and she instantly bounced over to him, offering him to taste her newest creation amongst all her sweets. Philip declined but she continued to persist, insisting that he should taste the pudding that didn't look like one.

Feeling that weird feeling inside him swell, Shotaro hastily stood up. His chair screeched in protest at the rough treatment.
Both Akiko and Philip looked at him in surprise as he hurried past them and out the door, ignoring the questions of where he was going.

He soon found himself laying on a grasscovered slope, listening to the sound of the waves and the wind in the trees. He sighed and lifted one of his hands to sheild his face from the sun, then saw a couple pass behind him, seeing them hold hands and being engaged in sweet talk. He covered his face with his hands, mumbling something about it never being possible for them to do that.

He sat up in surprise, eyes widely turned to the blue sky without seeing any clouds there. Instead, he saw a face. The face of his partner. The face of his precious partner, whom he could do nothing witout. Together, they solved cases, fought and lived. Thinking of his partner, his cheeks tainted a shade of darker red.

He sprung to his feet, running back to the agency as fast as he could.

Shotaro threw open the door, rushing past Akiko and up to Philip. He slammed his hands into the wall on either side of Philips head, looking at the boy closely. Taking him in in full, from that shocked expression to that somewhat scared posture.
He didn't know what he did, or why he did it, but before he realized it, he was pressing close to Philip, kissing him forcefully, almost painfully. He now knew what it was that he had been looking past. It was his own feelings, his feelings for his partner.

He could hear Akiko shout their names, but he ignored her as he felt Philip press back, wrapping arms around his neck.
"Finally..." Philip murmured as he reached up. "You're so slow, Shotaro."
