Chapter 1

The sky is so peaceful today, not a single cloud in the sky. Well, there goes my plan to watch the clouds. Man, I wish Choji could be here, instead of training. Today is going to be such a drag. When I'm almost to the forest I hear a loud "Yoo-hoo". I turn around to see Temari walking towards me. Groan. There is no point in trying to get away from her so, I just laid there in the grass. When she finally reached me she sat down.

"So, why are you here in the Leaf Village?"

"What a girl can't just come to visit?"

"No, they can't"

"Fine, I came here to send a message to your Hokage. It was nothing big so I offered to take it to her.

"All women are so troublesome. Why couldn't you just let the usual guy take it?"

"Well… um… you see… the thing is…"

Just the Ino walks up. Temari let out a big breath.

"Hey guys," Ino says cheerily "What are the odds that Choji would be the only one training today?"

"I guess pretty good because he is." I replied.

Temari rolls her eyes and snickers, Ino glares at her. I stand up and dust myself off.

"Well, I'm going to go before this turns into a fight about nothing."

"No Shikamaru. Stay here and sit with me."

"Na, I'd rather be alone right now anyway."

I turn and walk in the forest, leaving the girls stuck dumb, by what they took as an insult.

I walk maybe a hundred yards before I stop. I am standing in front of an old abandoned tree house. It looks like a nice place to rest. So, I walk up the tree and crawl inside. Just as I guessed, the wood was falling apart from water and termite damage. Oh well, it's just as good as any other place. I go over to the window and sit down, dangling my feet over the edge. I sit there for about twenty minutes, thinking about all sorts of things.

"It's all really beautiful, isn't it?" a sweet voice asks, of course it startled me. I look back in the tree house to see Hirarā leaning on the wall right beside the window, with her head half turned.

"Yah, I guess." I replied.

"So I see you found my place."

"Oh, I didn't think anyone still occupied it."

"Well, someone still does."

I swing my legs back inside and sand up. I start to leave the Hirarā catches me off guard.

"You can stay if you want." Is what she said. I froze. Why all of the sudden that Hirarā show any niceness? It's not like her at all. Then she spoke the answers.

"It's not all of the sudden that I'm nice, you know. I just don't like to show emotion, but when I'm out here where there are no rules, no judgments I let it all flow out of me. And you don't know me so don't act surprised." Just then I noticed my face in a shocked expression. I quickly snapped my face back into proportion.

She sits down and leans her head against the wall. I walk over and sit down next to her. Then I wipe the sweat from me brow. Hirarā turns her head to me at this small movement. She takes her index finger and does a downward circling movement, motioning me to turn around. I turn so that I wasn't facing her anymore. Why did she want me to turn around? Just the she raps her arms around my neck and starts to unzip my Chunin vest. I could feel her cool, steady breath on my left ear. Then she slides her hands under the shoulders of my vest and takes my jacket off. She throws my vest, grip my shoulders, spins me around, presses my body against the wall with force, then…
