Chapter 1

Fire. Hate. Fear. Death. Dark visions filled Ahsoka's dreams as she slept in the cargo bay of an interstellar freighter. Her sleep hadn't been restful since she left the Jedi Order, but this was different. It felt real. And terribly so.
The dream came mostly in tiny fragments and images, most of which she could hardly make out. But, what she could see left her shaken. She saw images of a planet, a mining facility consumed by fire and lava. She saw two blue lightsabers, whirling and crashing against each other, one aggressive, one defensive. She saw a pair of hate-filled yellow eyes, embedded in a face that was all too familiar...

And then it was over. Her eyes flew open, her breath heavy, her body drenched with a cold sweat. "I left the Order for a reason, and that reason still remains," Ahsoka whispered to herself as she stood up. At the moment, she was stowing away on a freighter bound for Nar Shaddaa, nicknamed "the Smuggler's Moon." There, she hoped to pick up work as a freight guard, and get some news on the progress of the War. When last she'd heard, the Separatists had been largely inactive of late. It had her worried, but at that point, there was little she could do but hope for the best...

The Supreme Chancellor, Sheev Palpatine, had been captured by General Grievous and Count Dooku, for purposes unknown. While the battle for the Chancellor's life went on, two war heroes rapidly approached, ready to save the day and push back the enemy...
