Once upon a time, in a country far away in Europe, two baby boys were born. The older one named Lovino and the younger one named Feliciano. Lovino took the throne from his father and Feliciano became his servant. Feliciano loved his brother dearly and would do anything for him.
One day, he was visiting a neighboring country to run some errands. He ran into a lady who he thought was the most beautiful woman in the world. He fell in love with her. When he returned from the country, Lovino said quietly so only Feliciano could hear "I want that girl of green killed." Having to obey him, Feliciano returned to the neighboring country. He met with the lady in private one night and he killed her there. He started to cry I don't understand! I followed by beloved brother's orders but why won't I stop crying!?
When he returned, he acted like nothing happened, which was truly painful. Feliciano served Lovino and said "My king your desert for today is brioche" and Lovino smiled and laughed. So innocently, how was he the person who sent him to kill that beautiful young lady?
Soon, the people of the country were possessed with fear and rage. They decided to kill the king, having a man named Gilbert leading them. Feliciano looked through his brother's clothes and put them on. He went up to his brother and said "Wear my clothes and run. Don't turn back and just keep running until you get to safety. Don't worry we look the same in every way, no one will notice that you got away."
Dressed as the king, Feliciano went out to face the mad crowd. "It's time to surrender." Gilbert said. And so Feliciano did. He was taken to be beheaded. While sitting in jail, waiting for the time. He smiled, thinking about his brother.
When the time came, the church bells started ringing. He was set down to be beheaded. He found his brother standing in the crowd and smiled at him and said his last words "Oh, it's time for desert."
