Prologue
Percy woke up and looked around. His cabin was empty. But he had sworn he had heard a sound. Annabeth came into view at the end of his bed, nearly giving him a heart attack. She tucked her Yankees cap into her jean's pocket and lay down next to Percy.
"Hey Seaweed Brain," she said softly. "I missed you." For the past few days, Annabeth had been training the new campers at Camp Half Blood but last night, they had been able to pick her up from camp for a few days on the Argo II. Percy wrapped an arm around her shoulders and kissed her on the forehead.
"I missed you too, Wise Girl." she smiled softly and Percy thought of all the times they had gone on quests together. She was always the one who kept her head and made sure they made smart decisions. Percy loved her for that. After a while, Annabeth's breaths got steadier until Percy knew she was asleep. For the first time in days, Percy slept soundly.
