Who Knew
A/N: Brough on by listening to Who Knew by Pink and What Hurts the Most by Rascall Flatts and Cascada. Eiri Yuki belongs to Maki Murakami. Enjoy!
His mind kept pounding with pain but he wasn't sure what the source was. It wasn't Shuichi - who was one tour with his band Bad Luck.
Taking a few pain killers with a can of Budweiser, he laid down on the sofa with his laptop on his stomach so he could work while waiting for the pain to subside.
Somewhere along the way of being numb, the usually emotionless blond fell asleep.
The edges of his surroundings were faded as he looked around at the green trees and grasses that was around him. The sun was shining with the clouds rolling by lazily, as if they didn't want to move.
"Eiri." A voice called his name, making him perk up, looking for the source.
He didn't find it right away but the dark blond hair that wasn't styled fancy like most New Yorkers with the brown eyes caught his attention from where the man stood in the distance. He started to run to the figure until he saw his tutor come closer until he hugged him.
"Yuki-sensei!" Eiri called out, realizing his voice was the same carefree tone he had when he was sixteen.
"How are you Eiri?" Yuki asked, his warm, caring tone making the teenager blush.
Before he could answer, it started to burn with a scream echoing through the still night in the dark apartment. Everything from that dreaded night replayed to him, from the point he was pinned to the wall to where he shot the men - even his tutor to death.
The warm tears fell from his stinging eyes as he felt the urge to curl up into a ball, wanting it to be just a dream. A dream that was actually a nightmare. it had to be a lie and he was dreaming it all.
With a shake, he woke with his eyes almost glued shut. He couldn't even open them at all.
Yuki why? why do that if you knew it would cost you something precious such as your life? Now your gone and all I can do is think about what if? what if you didn't try that and you were alive today? Now i have your son with me, almost like my own when he truly isn't. Why Yuki-sensei?
He laid there, listening for his son to go looking for him or Shuichi. Nothing but silence greeted him as he slowly drifted off to another nap.
"Yuki." A voice called, it was familiar to him but who?
"Yuki wake up." The voice called again as he opened his gold eyes to see the pink hair. The violet eyes stared down at him with love along with various other emotions.
"What is it brat?" He asked as he felt pressure on his chest. His gaze went down to see the small blond child as he slumbered on his father's chest.
Riku. The boy's name went through his mind as he tried not to smile. he knew Yuki was in his memory until he died and with him by Riku but it still hurt from the pain that was caused years ago.
He resisted the urge to push Shuichi away as he curled up on the edge, making them a family - a disfunctional family at times.
Hope you enjoyed it! Got bored in Computer class.
